I've watched women my age chase the independent woman dream only to get to 35 with a great resume and an empty home.

Nobody warned them about the Sunday nights alone. The holidays without children. The biological clock that doesn't care about your five-year plan.

Career women at 35 are the most medicated demographic in America. Not conservative women. Not liberal men. Liberal career women.

Why? Because they've been sold a worldview that contradicts their biology at every turn. They're told marriage is oppression, but they crave companionship. They're told children hold them back, but their maternal instinct doesn't go away just because they ignore it.

The women I know who are genuinely happiest are not the most independent. They're the most loved.
