More than 197,000 residents are without power statewide as Hurricane Lala leaves behind major flooding and infrastructure damage.

The governor has confirmed one death.
The Category 1 hurricaneโs core scraped the southern tip of the island, but its eye ultimately passed just offshore, narrowly avoiding what would have been the Big Islandโs first hurricane landfall in 155 years.

Gurpreet Singh, 25, from Wolverhampton, was caught in a sting operation after messaging what he believed was a 14-year-old gay boy online.
