A 79-year-old Frenchman, Jacques Leveugle, has been charged with rape and aggravated sexual assault on 89 minors, as well as with killing his mother and aunt by asphyxiation in the 1970s and 1990s.
The number of sexual victims, claimed between 1967 and 2022 across the four corners of the globe, is established on the basis of writings found on a USB stick, a sort of inventory of abused young people in "15 very dense volumes" compiled by the predator.
In this case, around 150 people have already testified since 2022, but the judges are urging other victims to come forward as soon as possible.

A 13-year-old boy, who was not enrolled at the school, carried out a knife attack in a classroom at a high school in London.
The two victims, in life-threatening condition, were taken to the hospital. The suspect fled but was arrested about an hour later nearby, with the weapon recovered. He is in custody on charges of attempted murder.
London's counterterrorism police are leading the investigation, suspecting ideological motives, but have not yet classified it as a terrorist act.

Shortly before lunch, he pulled out a weapon and wounded a 13-year-old boy in the neck and back, shouting "Allahu Akbar," according to witnesses. Seconds later, he stabbed another 12-year-old boy in front of other students.
