🇮🇱🇮🇷 Is Israel preparing the way for a new strike on Iran?

Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu is poised to present President Trump with a detailed military and intelligence plan for a potential strike against Iran before the year’s end—most likely December 29th.

Here’s what we know right now:

🔴 The real threat: missiles, not nukes

Mossad chief David Barnea warns that Iran has not given up its goal of destroying Israel and will restart its nuclear program when it can.

But for now, Israel sees Tehran’s expanding missile arsenal—not its nuclear ambitions—as the immediate and primary target.

🔴 Numbers don’t add up

Western media now suggest Iran could soon produce up to 3,000 ballistic missiles a year, apparently drawing on Foreign Minister Araghchi’s statement that all production facilities have been fully restored.

Yet the same outlets previously reported that up to 50% of Iran’s missile capability was destroyed — meaning either they're lying now, or they lied back then.

🔴 A stronger Iran is emerging

Iran is still reconstructing, but its defenses are growing stronger and more distributed, and its offensive capabilities are becoming more advanced and dangerous, as evidenced by recent IRGC missile tests.

Israeli media are now actively promoting the narrative that Iran is preparing for future attacks.

🔴 Timing is everything—and motives are mixed

Israel is unwilling to cede the strategic initiative gained from the last operation and is preparing a preemptive strike against Iran.

It may not happen immediately, but such plans are undoubtedly underway.

With Mossad head Barnea’s term ending, a major operational success could secure his legacy—and legal immunity—after the failures of October 7th.

🔴 Netanyahu’s political survival may hang in the balance

Facing renewed nationwide protests, the Prime Minister also needs a win.

He and Trump appear set to replay an old script: Washington will extend an offer Tehran can’t accept, creating the pretext for military action.
