So we either get suspended military aid to Israel, or the Netanyahu trial gets dropped and Bibi looks like an even bigger asshole if he continues to defy Trump and pursue war. (Giving even more Americans permission to abandon support for Israel.)

Netanyahu is also considering holding a “snap election,” which would restart his term and allow the Likud Party to gain seats in the Knesset, as it is currently not the majority party. (Naftali Bennett’s party is the majority party at 27 seats.)

If Trump succeeds in getting Netanyahu’s charges dropped, it will only fuel the optics of corruption and two-tiered favoritism that led to the charges being filed in the first place. Netanyahu’s political rivals will use it against him, making it much harder for Netanyahu to form a new coalition in the Knesset to support his bid for Prime Minister (61 of the 120 seats) regardless of the outcome of the election. (All elections are fake, anyway.) Meaning Bibi will be disincentivized to do it.

Don't look now, but Netanyahu's son is being summoned from Miami by the Israeli police as part of a broader investigation, "which focuses on the suspicion of issuing diplomatic passports to people who were not entitled to them."

Many have long wondered why Yair Netanyahu (33 years old) has not returned to Israel to fulfill his reservist duties in the IDF, as his father pushes for expanded military operations in several theaters of war.

The more Trump stirs the political turmoil in Israel, the more enemies Netanyahu will acquire across the political spectrum. (Which will only further embolden him to cling to power through desperation plays.)
