Something interesting I noticed this week is that President Trump was telling Israeli media and US media two different narratives.

He told Israeli journalist Barak Ravid (through proxies) that Netanyahu needs to chill and he wanted Israel to wait until at least after this weekend’s planned negotiations before launching an attack. (He also told Netanyahu to end the Gaza War, permanently, which to the Israeli audience, would have been received as Trump advocated for the hostages.)

Meanwhile, to the American audience, he was doing the TrumpaMania bit and flexing on Iran.
