This is Benny Gantz— the man who ran for Prime Minister against Netanyahu throughout what is known as the Israeli Political Crisis; where five snap elections were held between 2018-2022 because a majority coalition (61 seats) could not be formed/maintained in the Knesset around any candidate.

The stalemate was broken in December 2022, when Netanyahu revised a 1994 law passed to prevent Jewish supremacists from serving in the Knesset, forming a political alliance with the political prodigy of the infamous Jewish terrorist Meir Kahane— who was arrested by the Shin Bet and jailed in the 1980’s for plotting to fly an airplane into the Al-Asqa Mosque in Jerusalem in order to start a forever war between Islam and Israel.

Kahane’s zealots now serve in Netanyahu’s Security Cabinet— the highest positions in the Israeli government— which has Bibi politically leveraged to bend to their will. (Lest they resign and the coalition collapses, triggering another snap election.)

With all of that said, Netanyahu’s political rivals (Benny Gantz, Yair Lapid, and Naftali Bennet) that would most likely replace him as PM in a snap election also want war with Iran.

The benefit of President Trump keeping Netanyahu in office is that he is such a polarizing figure (a made-for-TV villain) that he captures the attention of the internet, which now anticipates that he will start a war with Iran that would surely lead to WW3.
