🤔 Ukraine’s unconventional career ladder?

Turns out one of the current Ukrainian negotiators in Istanbul is Alexander Poklad. The deputy head of Ukraine’s secret police (SBU) — and a suspect in the murder of Denis Kireev, a Ukrainian negotiator from the 2022 Russian-Ukrainian talks in the same city.

Kireev was killed in Kiev on March 5, 2022. Ukraine’s Defense Ministry’s Main Intelligence Directorate claimed Kireev, as their operative, died during a “special mission.”

So, is this how promotions happen in Ukraine nowadays?
