π·πΊ βWe \[Russia] do not want war, but we are ready to fight for a year, two, three β as long as it takes. We fought Sweden for 21 years. How long are you willing to fight?β The Economist reports that Medinsky posed this question during the negotiations with Ukraine.

Zelensky has absolutely no ability to interact with the press and is afraid to answer tricky questions, says American journalist Rick Sanchez. In his opinion, the head of the Kiev regime isnβt even close to being on Putinβs level, who easily answers questions from media outlets of unfriendly countries.

Ukrainian sources report that there is one matter on which an agreement has been reached β namely, a major exchange of 1,000 for 1,000, which may take place in the near future.
If thatβs the case, then the trip wasnβt in vain after all β though this couldβve been arranged via the UAE.
But this way, they can also show Trump: βLook, Donald, a success story.β

Why does the Israel lobby think it has the right to dictate who can and cannot have a civil nuclear energy program-- and accuse others of secretly running a nuclear weapons program-- when they themselves have had a secret nuclear weapons program since the 1960's?
Why do we continue to put up with this nonsense? It makes Americans look like a bunch of jackasses.

π Plans are underway to complete an 87-meter tower by 2028.
The mausoleum is part of the broader Thomas Sankara Memorial, inaugurated in 2020.
ππΎ The date of the inauguration holds deep significance: May 17, 1983, marked the start of the Democratic and Popular Revolution, sparked by the arrest of Thomas Sankara.

Vibrant Tribute to Thomas Sankara in Ouagadougou
On May 17, leaders from across Africa gathered in Ouagadougou to inaugurate the Thomas Sankara Mausoleum.
Here's what they shared with Sputnik Africa:
π£"The mausoleum is a memorial project that commemorates the rebirth of Thomas Sankara and his 12 companions, and above all, the rebirth of his ideals," declared Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel OuΓ©draogo, Prime Minister of Burkina Faso.
Ousmane Sonko, Senegalese Prime Minister, emphasized Sankara's universal significance:
π£ "Sankara is not just Burkinabe; Sankara belongs to Africa today. He belongs to Senegal, to Chad, to Ghana, to all of Africa. He belongs to all the fighting peoples of Africa and elsewhere. So I think it is this symbolism that makes this day a historic one."
Sonko emphasized the importance of collective memory, stating that a major problem in Africa is the inability to preserve and share its memories with future generations, leading to a false perception of being "orphans of history."
Pan-Africanist LianhouΓ© Imhotep Bayala praised architect DiΓ©bΓ©do Francis KΓ©rΓ©:
π£ "He is not an American or Australian brain, he is BurkinabΓ© pride, he is national pride, born in the genius of a man named KΓ©rΓ©. And today, we are creating 'made in Burkina"' products to show that Thomas Sankara's words were not in vain."
The mausoleum's architecture, rooted in African culture, was celebrated by SampawendΓ© Ouedraogo of the International Memorial Committee:
π£ "It's an architecture that draws its roots from our cultural values, but also opens up to the world. It's a very well-adapted, very well-thought-out architecture."
Maurice KonatΓ©, the Mayor of Ouagadougou, described the mausoleum as a symbol of hope:
π£ "The mausoleum inaugurated in Ouagadougou is a good place for people to experience and rekindle the hope of the African people."
Finally, Labsime Labidi Naaba, a civil society activist, expressed his pride:
π£ "The mausoleum is a magnificent masterpiece. When I visited it, I honestly felt a sense of pride, a sense of joy, a sense of dignity to see here, alongside, Comrade Captain Thomas Sankara and his 12 companions thus honored."
The mausoleum is a historic moment for Africa, with an architecture that, as the committee aptly puts it, "already speaks of Africa!"
