I’m skeptical that this is the truth, though it certainly could be. I don’t think the Iranian government would risk losing face by admitting that an attack was successfully conducted by infiltrators— it would also require a response, which would lead to escalation.
The reason I am skeptical is because the port of Bandar Abbas— which was recently upgraded through an enormous investment of multiple foreign countries, including China, Russia, and Saudi Arabia— is a key node in the North-South Transportation Corridor, which is trade route established by the Sovereign Alliance to challenge and compete with the Unipolar Hegemony.
