We’ve been covering this situation in the DR Congo on Badlands Daily for the past year.

President Trump froze the assets of Israeli mining oligarch Dan Gertler in 2017. Gertler had a monopoly over the mineral rights in the DRC, where he used child slavery for labor. Gertler was close friends with the former DRC president, who ruled the country with his father for decades, until he was replaced with the current president in 2018.

According to the Paradise Papers leak, Gertler was disseminating cash to the other Israeli oligarchs, and is longtime family friends with Netanyahu. Multiple coups have been attempted against the current DRC government since 2019, and the Mossad director (Yossi Cohen) was banned from the country and forced to resign in humiliation after being caught sneaking around the country, accused of planning a coup.

The Rwandan President (Paul Kagame) is an ardent Zionist and close associate of Netanyahu and the other Israeli oligarchs. He was installed as leader of Rwanda in the 1990’s by the globalist hegemony, and has been presented by the regime as the [false] savior of Africa. He is now launching terrorist raids on DRC and trying to claim the territories where these rare mineral mines are located.

The DRC turning to President Trump for help now is bringing this story full circle, and further evidence of Trump’s conflict with the Israeli elite.

This Congo/Rwanda story is much bigger than many people realize: It is a "blood diamond" type scandal involving the biggest tech companies in the world, including Apple, Sony, Intel, and Lockheed Martin, among others.

These companies have been accused in court filing of using child slavery, illegal smuggling, and deceptive marketing to hide the fact that they are extracting rare earth minerals from the eastern Congo, smuggling them into neighboring countries (primarily Rwanda), then exporting them as "clean" minerals into the global supply chain.

The lawyers for the Democratic Republic of Congo have filed lawsuits against these companies, accusing the UN and western oligarchs of legitimizing their supply chain by creating fraudulent organizations such as the International Tin Supply Chain Initiative (ITSCI) and the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI), naming specific individuals such as Vincent Bolloré, who was arrested in 2018 and charged with fraud related to these African mineral operations.

The overprivileged liberal white women who dominate corporate media chose to remain silent and whore themselves to their powerful male bosses in exchange for career advancement, rather than expose this story and save countless black children from real-life slavery.

That will be the official legacy of corporate media journalism.

Moscow is ready to work with Washington in developing rare earth mineral deposits, including in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, and Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said.

The ‘rare earths’ deal US President Donald Trump’s administration is pushing for with Ukraine “doesn’t concern” Moscow, Putin said in an interview with Russia 1 TV journalist Pavel Zarubin on Monday.

The actual value of Ukraine’s rare earth mineral deposits remains to be seen, the Russian leader noted.

Moscow will be concentrating on its own development of rare earth minerals, given their importance in multiple sectors of the economy, he said.

“We would be ready to offer this to our American partners… if they showed interest in working together,” Putin said, stressing that he meant both private and government companies.
