One of the many reasons I thought that President Trump's boisterous rhetoric about making Gaza the "Middle East Riviera" was a ploy is that this language was already used by Trump's dear friend, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, as the official branding for The Amaala development, which is a tourism site on the Red Sea announced by the Saudi Public Investment Fund back in 2018.

The first hotel on the site just opened last year. The "Middle East Riviera" already officially exists, and it's in Saudi Arabia.
