➡️ The Russian flag has been raised at a new observation point across from the disengagement zone between the Syrian and Israeli armies in the occupied Golan Heights in southern Syria.
➡️ General Alexander Rodionov, deputy commander of the Russian forces operating in Syria, told Sputnik that "a point belonging to the Russian forces, along the separation strip in the Quneitra region in southern Syria, was opened on Saturday within the framework of agreements to prevent violations of the UN disengagement zone."
➡️ General Rodionov added, "With this new point, we have opened 8 observation points in order to complete the operation and maintain the security and peace of Syrian territory from any violations."

Reports are that the IDF is now conducting air strikes in Syria and has deployed Special Operations Forces on the ground. I suspect that they are trying to decapitate the Syrian government by taking out Assad.
If they were to succeed, the ensuing chaos would require Hezbollah and Russia to invest more troops and equipment to that theater, which would leave Lebanon more vulnerable to an offensive operation.
