Inflation just got a second wind.

The Fed has agreed to purchase $40 billion in Treasuries per month.

Here’s how it works:

- The Fed creates money to buy Treasuries
- The Treasury spends that money into the economy via deficits

The result:

- Money supply expands
- Inflationary pressures increase

Elevated inflation will be the dominant macro trend in the coming years.
This is a good reminder of how small the physical #silver market really is and how easy it is to manipulate it

- Paper silver to physical silver ratio: 408:1
- Annual silver production: ~$70B

If just ~0.25% of paper silver were settled in physical, it would wipe out 1 year of global silver production.
A lot has been said.
A lot has been debated.
Now let’s look at what commodities actually did over the last year.

• #Oil ↓ ~10%
Low prices feel fine in the short term.
But they quietly choke capex.
Underinvestment always shows up later as tighter supply.
That’s how oil cycles turn.

• #Copper ↑ ~35%
Electrification. EVs. Grids. AI data centers.
Demand is structural.
Supply is slow, capital-intensive, and constrained.
Price is just following the math.

• #Gold ↑ ~72%
Not just inflation.
Not just fear.
This is about currency credibility, central bank buying, and real rates.

• #Silver ↑ ~159%
Half monetary. Half industrial.
When growth expectations and debasement collide,
silver doesn’t move. It overreacts.

Geopolitics drives volatility.
Fundamentals drive direction.

For investors in real assets,
volatility is the noise.
Supply curves and demand math are the signal.

That’s where conviction is built.

Imagine being a country with no major natural resources.

And choosing higher energy costs anyway.

Imagine relying on energy-intensive industries.
and deliberately squeezing their competitiveness.

Imagine a world where AI and data centers drive power demand higher every year.

And opting out of cheap, reliable energy.

⚠️Now imagine doing all of this voluntarily.

#Germany didn’t lose its edge overnight.
It chose to give it up.

Robert Friedland to Trump: You can’t reindustrialize without a lot of metal

- Everything you touch has to be mined
- Mining is just 1% of the S&P
- Down from 11% in the 1960s

Morale among miners with regard to the Trump administration is sky high

Reshoring America’s industry and gaining independence from China will ignite a historic commodity bull market.

Critical minerals... The US–Brazil deal 🇺🇸🇧🇷

#China controls 90% of #rareearth processing. That’s the real choke point 🇨🇳
#Brazil holds the 2nd largest reserves, but produces and processes very little 🇧🇷

Washington sees the gap.

This week, the US DFC announced $565m to finance rare earth extraction in Brazil.
That’s not diplomacy.
It’s supply-chain strategy.

Why it matters:
• 🇺🇸 needs alternatives to China
• 🇧🇷 has geology, lacks capital and tech
• 🇨🇳 weaponizes processing dominance

With the right investment, Brazil can become a 2nd global hub for critical minerals. Quietly and Strategically.
🚨 Silver Supply Check

Latest production snapshot shows how concentrated silver supply really is 👇

• 🥇 Fresnillo: ~11.7 Moz
• 🇵🇱 KGHM: ~10.8 Moz
• ⛏️ Newmont: ~7.0 Moz
• 🌎 Southern Copper + Glencore: ~12 Moz combined

Most producers sit below 5 Moz per quarter.

#Silver demand is rising (solar, grids, AI), but supply growth is thin and slow. Any disruption hits prices fast ⚡️

Do you see miners ramping supply or prices doing the work instead?
⚡️ Global power demand is accelerating.

The West isn’t driving it💥

What the data says 👇

• 🌍 ~80% of demand growth (2025–2030) comes from emerging economies
• 🇨🇳 🇮🇳 China + India are the core engines
• 🏭 Advanced economies grow. But marginally
• 🤖 Electrification, AI, data centers = structural load, not cyclical

The global energy system is being built for where demand is growing, not where capital markets are loudest.

#Energy security, grids, #fuels, and #metals will follow this shift.

Are policies and investments aligned with where electricity demand is actually coming from?

🚨Trump Is Rewiring OPEC From the Inside

💰Exxon & Chevron Are the Main Beneficiaries

Trump is reshaping who controls the next decade of oil supply

Not by pumping more US shale

By reopening #OPEC-linked barrels to US majors.

Here’s the play:

• 🇻🇪 #Venezuela
After Maduro’s removal, Washington is steering exports and pushing $50–100bn of potential reinvestment.

• 🇮🇷 #Iran pressure
Tariffs and military signaling are forcing buyers to rotate away from Tehran.

• 🇷🇺#Russia
Sanctions

At the same time, the White House is backing ExxonMobil and Chevron in negotiations across:

• 🇮🇶 Iraq
• 🇱🇾 Libya
• 🇩🇿 Algeria
• 🇰🇿 Kazakhstan
• 🇦🇿 Azerbaijan

The offer is simple: capital + security + diplomatic cover in exchange for alignment with Washington.

If even a fraction of the $100bn in Venezuela and new deals across Iraq and Africa materialise, more OPEC-linked supply will sit under US contracts and US security umbrellas.

That shifts:
• who controls marginal barrels
• who influences spare capacity
• and ultimately who shapes price formation

For Exxon and #Chevron shareholders, this is a geopolitical growth option layered on top of disciplined capital returns.

⚡️ Energy Power Is Concentrated in Just 2 Countries

That's the real secret to rule the 🌎

🇨🇳China and 🇺🇸the United States dominate almost everything that matters

🪨 Coal: China = 52% of global production

🛢️ Crude oil: US = 21%, Saudi Arabia = 11%, Russia = 11%

🔥 Natural gas: US = 25% of global output

☢️ Nuclear: US = 30%, China catching fast at 16%

🌊 Hydro: China = 30%

☀️ Solar: China = 39%

🌬️ Wind: China = 40%

🌽 Biofuels: US = 37%, Brazil = 22%

USA VS IRAN: TRUMP ACTIVATES THE ULTIMATE ECONOMIC TRAP – 25% TARIFF ON ALL COUNTRIES TRADING WITH TEHRAN

🇺🇸⚔️ Donald Trump has just signed an executive order (February 6, 2026) that formalizes the threat: any country continuing to purchase goods or services from Iran risks an additional 25% tariff on all its imports to the United States.

The text specifies:

“Effective immediately, an additional tariff—for example, 25%—may be imposed on products imported into the United States from any country that directly or indirectly purchases, imports, or acquires Iranian goods/services.”

Trump is no longer negotiating: he is dictating.
Dedollarization: The yuan is steadily gaining share in global trade finance.

- The yuan share rose from ~2% in 2020.
- It climbed to over 8% by early 2025.
- That is a 4× increase in five years.

This is a structural shift.

- The steepest gains began after 2022.
- Since then, usage rose roughly +1-2% annually

China increasingly settles trade in yuan, especially with energy and commodity exporters, reducing the for USD. At the same time, the weaponization of the dollar system increased the risk of relying on Western clearing.

The world is shifting into 2 competing blocks

This shift comes at a time when trust in the US and US institutions is at a record low.

- US lost the proxy war against Russia
- Trump says international law doesn’t apply to the US
- The US sanctions friend and foe alike
- US deficits are at crisis/recession levels

The yuan does not need to replace the dollar to matter.... it only needs to keep taking marginal share to reduce demand for USTs and the dollar, causing massive damage.
China’s gold demand is strong.

The combination of:

- Central bank buying
- Dedollarization
- Safe-haven asset status

Is leading Chinese citizens to buy physical #gold.
Solar is quietly becoming a major #silver driver

- PV silver demand was ~82 Moz in 2016
- It reached ~198 Moz by 2024
- That’s a ~140% increase in 8 years

And it’s not slowing.

- 2030 demand is projected at 320-450 Moz
- That implies another +60-130% increase
- Which would equate to ~50% of current silver production

At the same time:

- We are running 5 consecutive years of silver deficits
- Military demand for silver is rising
- Silver has been classified as a strategic metal

Silver inventories and prices are going to get squeezed.
The Dangerous Dollar"

The British magazine The Economist dedicated the main article of its latest issue to the toxicity of the US currency and the assertion that "the old financial architecture is collapsing".

The article notes that dollar assets are no longer a safe haven, and the US currency itself is becoming toxic. While the US claims to have a "great economy", the figures say otherwise: since its peak in January 2025, the dollar has lost a tenth of its value in the currency rating.

It is also stated that US stocks denominated in euros have hardly brought any profits to investors over the past year. Experts from The Economist are confident that this is not just a temporary volatility, but a fundamental change. The key conclusion of the article is that the world understands very well that storing savings in the currency of a country with an astronomical national debt (already more than 38.7 trillion dollars) and an aggressive sanctions policy is an unjustifiable risk.

📋 Latest Important Headlines — Market & Macro Snapshot

✅ Global markets & commodities
📌 Gold trades near USD 4,952.32/oz — haven demand remains elevated amid macro uncertainty, supporting bullion as a carry and portfolio hedge.

🔖 Canada
📋 TSX posts strong weekly gains — Canadian equities outperformed on the week, led by cyclical sectors and commodity strength; risk sentiment improved but positioning remains sensitive to global rate and commodity moves.

📌 Japan
✅ Yen slips as markets price in a potential win for Sanae Takaichi and a shift toward reflationary policies — weaker JPY raises FX volatility and export reaction risks, with implications for global carry trades and Asian FX flows.

🔖 United States — inflation & politics
📋 Inflation narratives heat up: multiple analyses flag rising inflation expectations last year and stress how even inflation worries materially affect markets and policy pricing. Upcoming data prints could overturn the market’s rate-cut hopes and reprice Fed expectations.
✅ Trump’s economic messaging: in speeches, he repeatedly claims an “inflation victory” (~20 mentions) despite persistent price pressures — political rhetoric may influence sentiment but fundamentals (data) will drive market rate pricing.

Market takeaway — Elevated inflation expectations, central-bank watchfulness, and political developments in major economies (US, Japan) are the dominant drivers. Gold and commodity-linked assets benefit from safe-haven and inflation hedging demand, while FX and equity positioning remain sensitive to shifts in policy outlook and geopolitical headlines.
