🚨BREAKING: President Trump says Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei should be "VERY WORRIED" right now

Additional US forces have deployed to the region

#FAFO could play out soon 👀🔥
China’s chokehold on critical minerals is bullish for all commodities.

- China dominates refining of 19 out of 20 critical minerals
- With an average market share of 70%
- Over 50% of these minerals are now subject to export controls

The world is heavily dependent on Chinese minerals.

Export controls introduced last April forced automotive factories around the world to cut utilization rates or temporarily shut down.

Gaining independence from China is not easy:

- You need to reshore industry
- Expand the grid
- Subsidize mining

In short, this would ignite the mother of all mining bull markets.
Iran needs 💰

but its crude on the water is at an all time high💥

• Exports keep flowing
• Buyers hesitate
• Cargoes slow
• Floating storage builds

Barrels queue.

More oil stays at sea 🚢
Logistics clog.
Discount pressure grows.

💥Geopolitical tension is back on the tape

🛢️But the oil market is telling a different story.

📉 US crude inventories fell by 3.5 million barrels last week.

More than expected.

Stocks are now 4% below the 5-year average.

API was even more aggressive.

-11.1 million barrels.

And yet, oil prices:

#Brent below $70/bbl.

#WTI near $65/bbl.

Look deeper into the data.

• Gasoline inventories rose

• Gasoline production fell to 9.0 mb/d

• Distillate inventories down 5.6 mb

• Distillate demand -6.2% YoY

• Total products supplied up 0.9% YoY

This is the key point.

Right now, oil is being pulled in 2 directions.

• Headlines are geopolitical

• Price action is fundamentals-driven

That’s why this moment matters.

We can finally distinguish:

👉 event-driven volatility

from

👉 data-driven pricing

Fear is rising.

We have entered the age of #copper.

- EVs use ~4× more copper than internal combustion vehicles
- AI data centers require ~6× more copper than traditional data centers
- The EU’s electrical grid expansion is projected to increase ~75×

Copper demand is surging, while supply remains disappointing.

The United States works with countries across the Indo-Pacific to establish critical minerals supply chains that are free from dependence on a single, unreliable source, market manipulation, price coercion, and sudden disruptions.

"While higher beta and sentiment-driven flows can amplify short-term volatility, medium-term fundamentals remain supported by demand from solar PV, grid modernisation and electrification themes, which should help cushion downside once positioning and sentiment stabilise,"

🇪🇺🇨🇳 Reuters: EU wants to create a reserve of strategic raw materials to reduce dependence on China.

The initiative is led by Italy, France and Germany. It involves creating reserves of key raw materials and restricting exports of reusable scrap metal and rare earth waste.

It is assumed that France will finance the purchases, Germany will take care of the resources, and Italy will take care of storage.

China is the world's largest producer of industrial metals and minerals. However, it limits exports of gallium, germanium, molybdenum or antimony, as well as heavy rare earth metals such as dysprosium and terbium.

Europe does not have sufficient processing capacity, and diversification takes a long time. The creation of strategic reserves is considered one of the few available tools to protect the European economy.
Paper silver and physical #silver are at war

- Paper shorts pushed silver prices down 22% in 2 hrs.
- At the same time, the physical market is being drained every day.

The most telling signal is coming from the COMEX.

- Normally only 1–3% of contracts settle physically
- Now we are seeing 100% physical settlement

You can’t build AI data centers or missiles with paper silver.

The world is desperate for real silver.
⚛️ Europe’s Nuclear Power Map Tells a Brutal Story

Nuclear isn’t Europewide.
It’s France centric

• EU total: ~650 TWh
• #France alone: ~380 TWh → ~58% of all EU nuclear
• #Sweden : ~51 TWh
• #Spain : ~55 TWh
• #Finland: ~33 TWh
• Many EU countries: zero nuclear

Europe’s power stability hinges on one country
Nuclear resilience ≠ evenly distributed
When French reactors sneeze, EU power prices catch a cold

Does Europe double down on nuclear expansion or keep outsourcing energy security to markets and weather?

⚠️ Copper’s Supply Shock Is Coming ⚡

#IEA data shows a primary copper deficit emerging later this decade.

• Mine supply peaks early
• New projects arrive too slowly
• Demand keeps rising across all scenarios

Supply stuck around 26–28 Mt
Demand heads toward 30+ Mt

Copper isn’t rare.
Time is.

Where is the clearing level when the gap opens?

🛢️Oil & Gas Still Anchor the World’s Biggest Economies

• Saudi Aramco 🇸🇦 → $1.6T market cap

• Gazprom 🇷🇺 → $70B, despite sanctions and rerouted flows

• Petrobras 🇧🇷 → $112B, leverage to offshore + dividends

• Reliance Industries 🇮🇳 → $231B, oil-to-chemicals + refining scale

Energy companies still dominate national balance sheets and the State-linked producers matter more than pure majors in GDP terms

AI moves markets.
Oil and gas still move countries.

#Gold is replacing US bonds as the safe-haven asset.

- We have reached 65 months of drawdowns with no end in sight
- A maximum monthly drawdown of 17%
- US 10-year bond drawdown since 2020: ~50%
- Meanwhile, gold is up ~3x

For comparison, when Volcker raised interest rates to 20% in 1980, it led to:

- 9 months of drawdowns
- A maximum monthly drawdown of 13%

Traditional portfolio construction with 60% equities and 40% bonds does not work in this new era.

Current US gold holdings in portfolios are ~1.4%. Now imagine what would happen to the price of gold if even a portion of the 40% bond allocation shifted into gold.

The gold bull market is far from over.

📋 Bank of England holds rates at 3.75% — signals likely cut ahead
✅ Summary: BOE kept Bank Rate at 3.75% after a narrow 5-4 vote, surprising markets with the split but explicitly signalling future reductions. Guidance aligns more closely with the Fed’s stance, suggesting easing ahead as inflation cools and growth remains subdued. Market implication: sterling may face downward pressure on rate-cut bets; gilts could rally on anticipated easing.

🔖 BOE narrow vote underscores policy divergence risks
📌 Context: The close decision highlights internal hawk-dove tensions at the BOE — risks for volatility in GBP around UK data and BOE communications. Traders should watch upcoming labour/inflation prints and BOE speak for timing of potential cuts.

📋 German factory orders rise — fiscal stimulus boost
✅ Impact: German factory orders unexpectedly improved, reflecting fiscal stimulus effects and offering a positive signal for Eurozone industrial demand. Implication for EUR: supportive but likely modest — sustained momentum depends on exports and broader Eurozone growth outlook.

🔖 Bristol Myers Squibb — Eliquis demand beats in 4Q (US)
📌 Note: In the legacy portfolio, demand for anticoagulant Eliquis rose more than expected in Q4, supporting BMS revenue resilience. Market angle: positive for US equities in pharma; limited FX impact but relevant to USD risk sentiment in healthcare sector.
All roads lead to inflation

In a decade:

- Interest expense: set to double
- Healthcare: up ~80%
- Social Security: up ~70%
- Defense: up ~20%

Together, these grow faster than GDP,
pushing the deficit ~30% higher.

All of this assumes long-term CPI inflation of ~2.4%.

If inflation runs hotter, even modestly,
spending rises faster, deficits widen,
and financing costs jump.

Which feeds inflation again.

The risk of an inflationary surge remains elevated
