JANUARY LEADERSHIP IS ALREADY HINTING AT THE 2026 THEMES β€’ Grid & Power | $EOSE, $BE, $NVTS β€’ AI Utility | $IREN, $CIFR, $NBIS, $APLD, $CRWV β€’ Space Economy | $ASTS, $RKLB, $PL, $RDW, $FLY β€’ Nuclear | $OKLO, $SMR, $NNE, $CCJ, $BWXT, $LEU β€’ Drones | $KTOS…
I pay close attention to which stocks lead in January because it’s the first clear look at where managers are actually putting new money & decisions are based on where they think returns will come from next rather then protecting what already happened.

Stocks that lead early in year usually point to where next phase of growth is going to be.

Pentagon Invests $150 Million in US Gallium Company

The US Department of Defense has taken an equity stake in Atlantic Alumina Co (a US-based producer) with a $150 million investment, aimed at securing domestic supply of gallium a critical metal used in semiconductors, radar, 5G, and defense electronics.

China currently controls 98.7% of global gallium production (2024 data).

Gallium is on the US critical minerals list vital for military tech (e.g., GaN chips in F-35 radars, missile systems).

This is part of a broader push to reduce dependence on Chinese supply chains amid rising tensions.

The move follows similar DoD investments in rare earths, lithium, and other strategic materials signaling Washington is serious about onshoring critical inputs for national security.

PRESIDENT TRUMP:

β€œWhen the market goes up, the Fed should lower interest rates.”

Fed Chair Powell β€œkills every rally,” Trump adds.

You do not own enough assets.
WTI crude is trading at its lowest level in silver ounces since WWII raising a big question: Is oil undervalued, silver overvalued, or both?

With #WTI around $60/bbl and #Silver approaching $90/oz, the divergence is striking.

The chart below shows the Silver-WTI ratio over time and today’s gap is hard to ignore.

Oil looks sluggish despite heightened geopolitical risk, while silver rallies on safe-haven demand and industrial tailwinds.

Are we mispricing #energy, overpricing precious #metals, or simply watching 2 markets respond very differently to an increasingly uncertain landscape?

U.S. Supreme Court is expected to rule on the legality of President Trump's tariffs in the next 24 hours.

If struck down, the Trump administration would have to return all tariffs collected to U.S. importers.
