If you've ever wondered whether a deep state exists in the US—secret societies operating behind the scenes, far more powerful than the president and the government—then perhaps the following will answer your question.

In February 2025, Donald Trump and Elon Musk enthusiastically announced, as part of their campaign promises, that they would inspect the #gold reserves held at Fort Knox. There were well-founded doubts about the integrity of the facility.

The last complete government inventory had been conducted over 70 years prior. Trump and Musk intended to make the process open and transparent, even planning live streams from Fort Knox.

In March, the topic suddenly disappeared from the media, and neither Musk nor Trump ever mentioned it again.

China's Massive Commodity Stockpiles

% of Global Inventories

This stockpiling power is a massive hidden lever in global commodities.

China has become the custodian of global commodity surpluses hoarding copper, metals, and energy to secure supply chains, hedge against shortages, and influence prices.

When China builds, the world feels the glut when it draws, markets tighten fast.

THE MINERALS MAP THAT RUNS THE WORLD🌎

🔋 Cobalt
• 🇨🇩 DR Congo controls 76% of global supply
One country. One chokepoint.

🔌 Nickel
• 🇮🇩 Indonesia produces 60% of the world’s nickel
The backbone of batteries and stainless steel.

⚡ Lithium
• 🇦🇺 Australia 37%
• 🇨🇱 Chile 20%
• 🇨🇳 China 17%
Mining is diversified. Processing is not.

🧲 Rare Earths
• 🇨🇳 China controls 70% of production
And an even higher share of refining. This is the real leverage point.

☢️ Uranium
• 🇰🇿 Kazakhstan ~39%
• 🇨🇦 Canada ~24%
Nuclear security is already multipolar.

🪙 Copper
• 🇨🇱 Chile 23%
• 🇨🇩 DR Congo 14%
• 🇵🇪 Peru 12%
Exactly where political risk and ESG friction are highest.

The West does not have a reserves problem.
It has a control problem.

Mining is fragmented across:
• Africa
• Latin America
• Central Asia

Processing, refining, and downstream leverage are highly concentrated, often outside the US and Europe.

That is why:
• Industrial policy is back
• Supply chains are being militarised
• “Friend-shoring” matters more than price
• Minerals are replacing oil as the strategic constraint

Which mineral do you see as the biggest hidden bottleneck over the next decade. Copper, lithium, rare earths, or uranium?

While the world watches the Mediterranean, the real move is happening in the silence of the Indian Ocean.

The Intel:
6 B-2 Spirits just landed at Diego Garcia. That’s half the entire U.S. stealth fleet.
Dozens of KC-135 tankers have surged to Qatar since Jan 5th.
This isn’t a "show of force." It’s the exact logistics pattern that preceded Operation Midnight Hammer.

The Twist:
Israel is on maximum alert, but not for the reason you think. Three sources confirmed to Reuters: Israel isn’t preparing for an Iranian attack. They are preparing for a U.S. strike on Tehran.

The Trigger:
Marco Rubio called Netanyahu while 400 bodies were being stacked at Kahrizak. The threshold Trump set—the "red line" of human rights and regional stability—has been crossed ten times over.

The Sky is Empty:
Qatar, Emirates, Lufthansa... they’ve all pulled out. When commercial aviation clears the airspace, it’s because someone expects ordnance.
Trump has the options. The bombers are fueled.
What happens next defines the decade.

SOON.

The “noise” of happenings and geopolitical events get most of attention in energy world but there are things that would deserve attention too..

One notable and of wide interest is how #jobs are evolving in the energy sector.

And here there are at least two elements that merit attention.

The first is that - while employment is an issue in many economic areas - the demand for energy workers is increasing across all parts and all technologies of the energy system

The second - not less relevant - is that the power sector is now the largest #energy employer as we enter the Age of Electricity ⚡️ - covering around 75% of new energy jobs since 2019
Central Banks Are Dumping US Treasuries for #Gold

A Historic Shift!💰

For the first time since 1996, foreign central banks now hold a greater share of gold in their reserves than US Treasuries.

Why the flip?
- Soaring US debt concerns
- Geopolitical risks
- Loss of confidence in the dollar as the ultimate safe haven
- Gold's proven hedge against inflation & uncertainty

After the end of the gold standard, Treasuries dominated for decades. Now, the trend is reversing fast central banks are stocking up on physical gold at record levels.

Venezuela's Underground Wealth – A Massive Resource Powerhouse🛢️⛏️

Despite its crisis, Venezuela holds enormous untapped reserves

- Oil: 302.2 billion barrels (world's largest proven reserves)

- Natural Gas: 201 trillion cubic feet

- Gold: 8,900 tonnes

- Iron Ore: 14,600 million tonnes

- Bauxite: 320 million tonnes

- Nickel: 28.9 million tonnes

Venezuela's potential is staggering if stability returns, it could reshape global energy and metals markets. The US interest? Perfect heavy crude to feed Gulf Coast refineries.

Individual companies like #ExxonMobil, #ConocoPhillips , BP ,and others might or might not decide to jump in, regardless of reforms the US government forces on the Venezuelan government.

But plenty of others will be willing to do so.

🚨BREAKING: US Federal Prosecutors have opened criminal investigation Into Fed Chair Jerome Powell - NYT

This is absolutely INSANE !
When the system starts investigating the man who keeps the printing press running, you aren't looking at "justice." You are looking at the legacy ledger finally defaulting on its own survival. 🏛️

🇺🇸 Jerome Powell says DOJ is threatening the Fed with criminal charges for refusing to follow President Trump's interest rate demands.
#Polymarket is saying this is more political theater than an actual threat to Fed leadership.

If Powell being out were a serious risk then those odds wouldn’t still be this low after the headline.
Federal prosecutors in Washington have opened a criminal inquiry into Fed Chair Jerome Powell tied to the huge renovation of the Federal Reserve’s headquarters.

The question is whether Powell gave Congress misleading testimony about the scope and cost of the project.

The renovation budget has climbed into the roughly 2.5 billion dollar range and earlier design documents appeared to include things like executive dining areas, private elevators, and other features critics call luxury upgrades.

Powell has told Congress those items were largely removed and that the project is mainly about fixing serious safety, structural and security issues in an aging building.

Republicans and Trump allies argue the documents don’t fully match his testimony and have accused him of lying under oath, which is what triggered this referral to federal prosecutors.

At this stage, Powell has not been charged and the investigation may ultimately be closed without a case.

But the move is still significant.

It takes what started as a political attack over spending and turns it into a legal process inside the Justice Department.

That alone puts a cloud over Powell’s reputation and gives his opponents an easy talking point, the Fed chair is under federal investigation.

The bigger story is how this plays into the power struggle over the Fed and interest rate policy.

Trump has been furious that Powell has not cut rates as much or as fast as he wants and the White House has been looking for ways to pressure him or even force him out.

The renovation fight is a convenient vehicle, it makes Powell look out of touch and potentially dishonest, and it frames the Fed as spending billions on itself while ordinary people deal with high borrowing costs.

If the investigation drags on, it can weaken Powell’s political standing, make him more cautious, and raise questions about whether he can finish his term.

In an extreme scenario where prosecutors did bring charges, the pressure for him to resign would be intense, which could open the door for a more politically aligned replacement.

For markets, the dollars involved in the renovation are basically irrelevant but the uncertainty around Fed leadership is not.

Traders will mostly care about whether this makes a change in policy or personnel more likely.

If investors think this increases the odds that Powell gets replaced by someone more willing to slash rates, you could see lower yields and a friendlier backdrop for risk assets.

If it just looks like more political chaos around a key institution, it can add a bit of risk premium and volatility.

President Trump in first 10 days of 2026

1. Secured $18 trillion in oil reserves from Venezuela.
- This will lower inflation and boost GDP.

2. Ban on big institutions like Blackstone from buying single family homes.
- So normal families don’t have to compete with billion-dollar companies.

3. $200 billion to buy mortgage bonds.
- To push mortgage rates down, lowering monthly home payments.

4. Credit card rates capped at 10% for one year.
- This would cut monthly interest bills sharply, boosting spending.

5. $2,000 tariff stimulus checks confirmed.
- Using tariff money to send cash directly to people.

6. Pushing Fed to cut rates to 1%.
- Cheaper loans for homes, cars, and businesses to boost the economy.

7. Gas prices of $2 per gallon.
- Lower fuel costs reduce daily expenses and inflation pressure.

8. Bigger housing reforms coming.
- 50 year mortgage, more supply, lower construction costs, and cheaper homes.
