๐Ÿšจ"WE'RE IN A METALS WAR!":

๐Ÿ”ฅUS DEPT OF WAR & JPMORGAN TO BUILD SILVER REFINERY IN US TO PROCESS LATAM METALS

โšก๏ธUS Fires Silver Missile Back at the Red Dragon as Chinese Silver Export Restrictions Begin
โšก๏ธ1st New US Refinery in OVER 5 Decades
โšก๏ธRefinery Deal Was Already in Place Before US Moved to Oust Maduro, & Seize Venezuelaโ€™s Critical Minerals
โšก๏ธJPM to Finance the $7.4B Project, Dept of War to Hold 40% Stake

In a move set to reshape the landscape of critical minerals production, South Koreaโ€™s Korea Zinc has announced a massive $7.4 billion investment in a new state-of-the-art smelter in the United States, including the acquisition of Nyrstarโ€™s US operations.

The deal, which involves partnerships with the U.S. Department of Defense and Department of Commerce, aims to produce 13 essential nonferrous metals from recycled electronic scrap and industrial byproducts, with significant implications for the silver market both domestically and globally.

Of perhaps even more interest, the US Department of War will own a 40% stake in the venture, with precious metals behemoth JP Morgan providing additional financing.

๐ŸšจCoincidental Timing That US Smelter Deal Announced the Day After U.S. Takes Control Over Venezuelan Minerals?

As U.S. forces move to secure Venezuelan assets amid the power vacuum, industry analysts suggest the Tennessee facility could serve as a key hub for processing these seized materials, integrating them into domestic supply chains for silver and other metals essential to defense and clean energy sectors.

๐Ÿ‡ป๐Ÿ‡ชMaduro should have learned the lesson given to Iraqโ€™s Saddam Hussein & Libyaโ€™s Gaddafi.

๐Ÿ‡ป๐Ÿ‡ชMaduroโ€™s days were numbered the moment he began selling Venezuelaโ€™s oil for yuan instead of US dollars.

Who really imports Venezuelan oil?

and why it matters now๐Ÿ’ฅ

With Maduro removed and Venezuelan exports in limbo, this chart explains who was taking the barrels before the shock and where the pressure points are now.

Imports of Venezuelan crude in kb/d)

๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ #China: 351

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ United States: 222

๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ Europe: 75

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ #India: 63

๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡บ Cuba: 32

Whatโ€™s changed after Caracas?

China was the largest buyer via discounted heavy barrels and opaque shipping.

Any sustained enforcement or seizures raise freight, insurance, and discount costs fast.

US flows are almost entirely licensed (#Chevron JVs).

Those barrels are politically sensitive now.

They matter disproportionately for US Gulf Coast complex refineries that need heavy sour crude.

Europe and India were marginal buyers, opportunistic rather than strategic.

They can switch grades quickly if Venezuelan flows stall.

Cuba is the most exposed on a systemic level, but volumes are small in global terms.

Venezuelan oil is less about headline #Brent and more about who controls the heavy barrels at the margin.

Thatโ€™s where the real signal will come from.

1. Trump likely to Subsidize Oil Firms in Venezuela.

2. Trump is now currently meeting US Oil company leaders to discuss these subsidies and boosting Oil Production immediately

Hereโ€™s what companies likely receives the funding and benefits:

$CVX - Chevron US subsidies are basically guaranteed as they are the only U.S. major currently left that can use to immediately deploy these subsidies.

Refiners

$VLO, $PSX and $MPC - These refiners are built to process Venezuelan heavy crude. Subsidies mean the oil flows faster, albeit the exact allocations are more speculative due to multiple players.

Service Companies

$HAL, $BKR - These companies don't own the oil but they do fix the pipes. Many of these companies will likely receive subsidizes, as the US fixes extremely old pipelines.

This is incredibly rewarding for US companies to capitalize on the $17T gold mine of Venezuelan oil reserves, without risking their own capital.

Markets were initially pricing in high capex spend with a few of these, and now we might see a market re-rating in anticipation of these subsidies.

US funding oil company spend changes the equation across the board and is bullish for oil firms like Chevron.
