ExxonMobil dominates Big Oil profits and it's all about Upstream dominance!

Oil & Gas income by segment :

#ExxonMobil: $380B total (mostly green: Downstream + blue: Upstream)

#Chevron, #TotalEnergies, BP: $250-300B each, heavy downstream/refining

Eni: $200B

#ConocoPhillips: $70B (almost pure upstream focus)

Pure-play upstream giants like Exxon (boosted by Pioneer merger) and Conoco crush integrated majors reliant on volatile refining (downstream) margins.

Upstream (exploration/production) is where the real money flows when oil prices hold strong.

Who's your pick in energy for 2026?

Source: GlobalData

#oott #Oil #BigOil #Energy #Investing #Commodities
#Gold, #silver, #platinum, #copper all hitting record highs together is unusual๐Ÿงต

Whenever precious metals rally with industrial metals, people say it's a recession signal. Historically, it often is but this time there's a massive structural driver in Central banks, which have bought 25%+ of all gold demand in 2025.

They're shifting reserves away from US Treasuries into gold permanently. For the first time in decades, central banks hold more gold than US Treasuries (That's de-dollarization)

Silver and copper's rally is because of pure industrial demand in AI data centers, EVs, solar panels, mine disruptions, tariff stockpiling.

โž  What's happening onchain?

Tokenized #commodities mcap just hit $3.93B. That's 278% growth in one year (we were at $1.04B last December)

โžฃ #XAUT (Tether Gold): $1.75B mcap
โžฃ #PAXG (Paxos Gold): $1.62B mcap

Both up 10%+ in the last 30 days tracking gold's rally. Now the real shift I see here is on perpDEXs. Platforms like Ostium.com which is built on #arbitrum just crossed $30B in cumulative trading volume.

I was looking at their onchain data and saw crypto is less than 2% of their activity. RWA dominate ~93% volume share. Commodities itself has 55% of daily volume

โ€ฃ Up to 200x leverage
โ€ฃ No withdrawal limits, no KYC
โ€ฃ Public fees, liquidity, OI is verifiable
โ€ฃ $5B+ in metals alone
โ€ฃ OI is at $225M

Ostium generated $3.79M in protocol revenue in Q4 2025 alone. $2.34M gross profit. Most competitors have higher OI/volume but 95% crypto-focused.

Ostium is ranked 9th based on OI among all perpDEXs despite focusing almost entirely on RWAs (has 39 pairs)

That positioning is what's driving growth now. Degen traders want macro exposure without off-ramping to custodial brokers. TradFi users want no KYC, high-leverage access during 24/7 volatility. Ostium.com sits in the middle and captures both.

See crypto is becoming the rails for macro hedging and real asset exposure. IMO tokenized commodities will hit $10B+ in 2026 as more traders realize they can hedge macro risk without leaving crypto rails. The onchain #RWA war has just started.

Back in the 2010 Exxon was the undisputed king of the market peaking as the largest US company by market cap ($400-500B range) during the energy boom era.

Around 2009-2012, ExxonMobil represented a massive chunk of top-10 market cap/net income share reflecting oil's dominance post-financial crisis.

Fast-forward to Dec 2025: XOM sits at $500B market cap (world's 20th largest), still a giant but in an AI/tech-dominated world (Nvidia $4.7T, Apple $4T+).

Yet profits remain rock-solid: $7-8B quarterly earnings in 2025, driven by upstream strength, Pioneer merger synergies, and disciplined capex.

Energy cycles come and go but Exxon proves Big Oil can still deliver massive cash flows and shareholder returns.

Will energy make a comeback in the next cycle? ๐Ÿ‘€

Nuclear renaissance loading... but mostly in Asiaโš›๏ธ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ”ฅ

As of 3Q 2025: 62 reactors under construction worldwide (~65 GW total capacity)

Top countries building:
- ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ China: 28 (nearly half!)
- ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ India: 7
- ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฌ Egypt: 4
- ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ Russia: 4
- ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ท Turkey: 4
- Others: Bangladesh, Japan, Korea, U.K., Ukraine (2 each); 1 each in Argentina, Brazil, Iran, Slovakia, Pakistan

No surprise: Asia-Pacific dominates the pipeline amid surging energy demand, while the West focuses on restarts & SMRs.

(Note: Latest IAEA data shows ~63-70 reactors under construction as of late 2025, with numbers fluctuating as projects complete.)

$1.9 TRILLION in oil brand power๐Ÿ›ข๏ธ

Who really runs it?

This chart ranks the Top 30 Oil & Gas companies by value (not market cap).

It is a useful reminder that even in a year of weak prices and brutal sentiment, the strategic winners are still very concentrated.

๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Saudi #aramco: $437B #1
๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ Sinopec International Petroleum Service Corporation: $425B #2
๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ PetroChina International: $404B #3
๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ #ExxonMobil: $350B #4
๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง Shell: $289B #5

โžก๏ธ Top 5 combined: $1.905T

๐Ÿ”Ž What jumps out

๐Ÿ›๏ธ State giants dominate the top: Aramco, Sinopec, PetroChina, KPC, then Gazprom, Rosneft, ADNOC Group close behind.

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Refiners are quietly huge: Phillips 66 ($143B) and Valero ($130B) sit above several supermajors. That is a bet on margins, logistics, and market access.

๐ŸŒ Europe clusters in the middle: Shell, TotalEnergies, bp are big. But they are still playing in a world where NOCs control the lowest cost barrels.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ The US bench is deep: Exxon, Chevron, ConocoPhillips, Marathon Petroleum Corporation, plus refiners and midstream (Enbridge). Different model. Same theme. Scale wins.

โš›๏ธ Global uranium supply: concentrated, strategic, and tightening.

As nuclear power regains relevance in the energy transition, uranium supply dynamics are back in focus, with AI powered electricity demand adding a new structural driver.

This chart highlights how concentrated global production remains:
- Kazakhstan dominates supply, accounting for close to 40% of mined uranium
- Many major economies remain structurally import dependent
- Canada and Namibia form a critical second tier
At the same time, demand is expanding:
- Reactor restarts and new builds are accelerating
- AI data centers are increasing interest in reliable, baseload nuclear power
In a tight, concentrated market, uranium is becoming increasingly strategic.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Dr. Copper is waking up BIG time

Copper has officially smashed through multi-year resistance and entered price discovery mode trading above $12,000/ton for the first time EVER (LME hit $12,159) and Comex ~$5.8/lb.

This isn't just a bounce. It's a decisive breakout after years of consolidation.

Why 2026 could be explosive:

- Mine disruptions (Grasberg, Cobre Panamรก, etc.) creating real supply tightness
- AI data centers + grid upgrades + EVs = structural demand surge
- Tariff fears driving front-loading & arbitrage
- Weak USD + rate cuts fueling commodity flows

Price-discovery phases in commodities? They tend to go parabolic.

Copper could be THE macro trade of 2026.

Game on. ๐Ÿ›ข๏ธโžก๏ธ๐Ÿ”Œ
