Appeasement has shown that the more concessions we make to the blackmailer, the greater their future demands become.
Morocco wants to control Ceuta and Melilla, but if we don't stop them, they'll end up demanding the Canary Islands and the rest of Spain's territories in North Africa.
The only way to stop the blackmailer is with strength and determination.

🇮🇷🇺🇦 Iran is no longer accepting Ukraine’s “accident” explanation.
Tehran says the strike on its commercial vessel in the Caspian was deliberate, pointing to Zelenskyy’s own remarks and demanding real accountability.
That matters because this is no longer just a maritime incident.
Iran is now publicly warning that another “error” could trigger a response, opening a new pressure point between Tehran and Kyiv while Russia watches closely. 👀

The “master strategist Not really. This looks more like a commander who lost the map, the compass, and half his army — but still points at the horizon and says “we continue.”
Experts outline Putin’s three strategies. All three have failed spectacularly.
Plan A: Negotiate with the U.S. and pressure Ukraine
Putin believed Trump would force Ukraine to accept Russian terms.
But:
Trump couldn’t accept Putin’s demands
Russia wanted Donbas back
Ukraine would lose sovereignty
Kushner & Witkoff couldn’t launch real talks
Result: Dead on arrival.
Plan B: Wait for the US. to abandon Ukraine
Putin expected Washington to walk away.
But:
The U.S. cut some aid but kept intelligence sharing
Sanctions remain
Europe filled the gaps
Ukraine is stronger than last year
Result: Plan collapsed.
Plan C: Fight until Russia wins
The “simple” plan: keep fighting until Ukraine breaks.
But:
Russia loses more troops than it can recruit
Advances have stalled
The economy is weakening
Ukraine hits harder than before
Result: Not working either.
Yet Putin keeps going
Why?
The economy is strained but not collapsing
Kremlin forces companies to absorb drone‑damage costs
Domestic anger is supressed
Heavy strikes create a false sense of unity
Russia boosts cluster‑bomb production
Ballistic missile output has doubled
Ukraine lacks advanced interceptors
U.S. war with Iran halts Patriot deliveries
Putin believes missiles + mobilization still give him an edge.
As long as he believes that, the war continues — no matter the cost to Russia.
In short: The “master strategist” has run out of strategies — but not out of war.

Why does Trump want Greenland? The answer is in China.
I'll show you two news items.
China has cut off sales of rare earth elements to Japan. Japan has begun dismantling old air conditioners.
On Friday, Trump said Greenland would come under US control before his term ends.
These two seem separate, but they are the same issue.
First, let's look at what's happening in Japan, because that's where the Greenland issue becomes clear.
China restricted sales of rare earth elements following the Japanese Prime Minister's statements about Taiwan.
The materials cut off are dysprosium, terbium, yttrium, and gallium. These are essential for magnet production, chip manufacturing, and defense systems.
Japan obtains approximately 60% of its rare earth needs from China. For dysprosium and terbium, used in electric vehicle motors, the dependence is almost complete.
The figures are as follows:
A three-month cut costs Japan 660 billion yen. If the outage extends to a year, the loss reaches 2.6 trillion yen.
But the real issue isn't the numbers.
If automotive factories can't find magnets, they're forced to reduce production, or even stop it altogether. This shows that you don't need to send an army to halt a country's industry.
Japan didn't wait.
Many old air conditioners have powerful magnets in their compressors. They contain neodymium, praseodymium, dysprosium, and terbium – metals that China no longer sells.
Old air conditioners across the country are being collected and dismantled, the magnets extracted, and then the metals separated through chemical processes. The company running the program is also one of Japan's largest defense companies, producing missile and radar systems.
A defense company collecting scrap air conditioners seems strange at first glance. It's not strange; it's a necessity.
During the same period, Japan signed mining agreements with India.
And it also decided to send a delegation to Greenland.
And that's where the picture changes.
The US isn't the only country looking at Greenland.
Now, let's look at what's there.
Greenland has the world's eighth largest reserve of rare earth elements, totaling 1.5 million tons. The US has 1.9 million tons of reserves on its own territory, while Canada has 830,000 tons.
So, this place alone holds a resource on the scale of the US.
A distinction needs to be made here.
Rare earth elements are a group of seventeen elements, and within them are two classes.
The lighter ones are found in many parts of the world. The heavier ones are much rarer.
Dysprosium and terbium, mined in Japan, belong to the heavy group. Magnets in electric vehicle motors, missile guidance systems, and radar components require this group, and nothing else can replace it.
Heavy rare earth production is largely in the hands of China.
There's also the processing side of things.
China produces approximately 90% of the world's rare earth refining. It's a world leader in nineteen of the twenty critical minerals.
Now let's go to southern Greenland.
The Kvanefjeld field contains over 11 million tons of rare earth elements. Approximately 370,000 tons of these are heavy rare earth elements.
In other words, the metal that Japan couldn't find, and that the US is dependent on, is right there.
Now comes the crucial part.
The Kvanefjeld field belongs to an Australian company.
The second largest shareholder of that company is the Chinese firm Shenghe Resources.
There's more.
According to an agreement signed in 2018, the buyer of the rare earth elements extracted from the field was also to be the same Chinese company.
China is both a partner and a customer in that mine.
For eight years, China's signature has been on the door that the US wants to enter.
So why is there still no production?
The answer is neither in the US nor in China. It lies in Greenland's own parliament.

The island's legislature banned uranium exploration in 2021 and placed limits on the uranium content of the ore extracted. Because rare earth and uranium are found in the same ore in Kvanefjeld, the project has effectively stalled.
The site is locked, and the key is not in the hands of either superpower.
This is where Trump's insistence comes from. The decision to unlock it rests with the island's legislature.
Now, step back and look at the last few months.
China has cut off rare earth sales to Japan.
Japan has turned to its own scrap metal and sent a delegation to Greenland.
Last week, Trump imposed limits on the export of his own country's scrap metal. Items listed in the order included old batteries, expired magnets, and tungsten-containing scrap.
Now he wants Greenland.
None of these actions were initiated by an army.
Sun Tzu considered defeating an enemy without fighting to be the pinnacle of mastery.
China has turned this into a matter of signature.

❗️In July, oil refining volumes in the Russian Federation fell to 3.6 million barrels per day, which is 150,000 barrels per day less than in June, — Bloomberg
This is the lowest level of oil refining in the Russian Federation since May 2002. For example, in July 2021, Russian refining amounted to 5.59 million barrels per day.

Security services are planningto require cryptocurrency exchanges and gaming platforms operating in Russia to install SORM – a system that allows for remote access to user data, tracking of internet traffic, as well as storing metadata and message content.
Previously, the authorities proposed requiring cryptocurrency exchanges to provide information about clients upon request. Now, the discussion is about directly connecting these platforms to the infrastructure of the security services. The requirement has not yet been adopted – information about the plans became known from a presentation by an FSB employee.

Think Africa is getting tired of Russia? Absolutely and Mali is the proof. As the Finnish saying goes: “A Russian is always a Russian, even if you fry him in butter.” And in Africa, the butter is burning.
The Kremlin is scrambling to prevent its forces in Mali from outright defeat. BBC reports that Moscow rushed a large shipment of armored vehicles and trucks after Russia’s Africa Corps and junta‑aligned troops suffered heavy losses against rebel forces.
In recent months:
Russian mercenaries have been pushed back
multiple settlements have been abandoned
rebels are advancing
Moscow is sending equipment like Mali is a collapsing front
But here’s the real punch:
Every vehicle sent to Africa is one less available for Ukraine. Every truck shipped to Mali is a truck not hauling shells in Donetsk. Every armored carrier sent south is one less to keep Russian lines from breaking near Kupiansk.
Russia is trying to be a global power in two wars at once and failling in both.
Africa sees it. Mali sees it. And the rebels see it most clearly.
In short: Russia is losing ground in Africa and paying for it in Ukraine.
