🚢💥UKMTO reports a tanker has been hit about 11 nautical miles off Oman.
An unidentified projectile struck the engine room, leaving the vessel disabled.
A second tanker nearby reported a large explosion in the same area. That report is unconfirmed.
No group has claimed responsibility. The attacker and the cause are both unknown at this stage.
If this is connected to the broader escalation, it would mean the danger is no longer confined to Hormuz itself. That connection is not yet established.

🇮🇶🇹🇷Iraq and Turkey just extended the insurance policy on 1 of the 4 workaround routes we have been tracking.
A 1 year transit agreement keeps Iraqi crude flowing through the Iraq-Turkiye pipeline to Ceyhan on Turkey's Mediterranean coast, with capacity up to 750,000 barrels a day.
It is a stopgap, not a permanent deal. Negotiations on a longer term framework continue.
Compare that to Yanbu, hit by Houthi strikes this week. 1 workaround just got attacked. Another just got renewed.
The market cannot assume every bypass route holds the same way.

🇫🇷☢️France's nuclear fleet still has one weak point that shows up every summer.
Rivers carry away the waste heat from reactor cooling. When river temperatures rise too high, plants have to cut output rather than discharge even hotter water downstream.
France lost about 3,700 gigawatt hours of nuclear output in June and July to exactly that constraint.
The timing is the problem. That is precisely when electricity demand rises with the heat.
The export advantage from the last chart is real. It is just not immune to a hot summer.

🛢️🇺🇸US now is pumping near a record 13.7 million barrels a day.
In April, total oil exports, crude plus products, hit 13.6 million barrels a day, the most ever.
Crude alone touched 5.6 million barrels a day for a stretch this year.
America became the single biggest oil exporter on earth, quietly filling the hole Hormuz tore in world supply.
A decade ago, the US could barely export a barrel of crude.
A 1970s ban, born of the last oil shock, kept every barrel home until Congress repealed it in 2015.
Exports went vertical from there.
That history is the entire reason an export cap is even a conversation again.

They're trying so hard to save the Japanese Yen 🚨 🚨
While everyone's distracted by the Leopold fund collapse, Japan could crash the world economy.
Here's what nobody connected this week.
The Bank of Japan held its rates. No hike.
Then it did something it almost never does. It stepped into the market and bought its own currency.
Then the part that should be front page everywhere.
The US Treasury bought Japanese yen. First time in decades.
America is now defending Japan's currency.
Why?
Because the yen is what paid for America's party.
Japan is the largest foreign holder of US treasuries. For decades, investors borrowed yen at nearly 0% and pumped it into US markets. Stocks, tech, AI. It's called the yen carry trade, and it's been quietly funding America's debt for thirty years.
Until now.
Japan already spent $74 billion trying to stop the slide this year. It failed. The yen hit its weakest level since 1986.
So this week, both governments went in together. The yen ripped 4% in two days.
Currencies aren't supposed to move like that. When they do, someone is being forced out.
The same borrowed yen that pumped the AI trade is the money now leaving it. Leopold's fund wasn't a one-off. It was the first exit in a crowded theater.
Wall Street knows. They've been piling into the carry trade harder than they have in decades. [SHOW: 'Carry Trade Returns Soar Most in Decades' 7/21]
Not because they know something you don't. Because the returns were too good to leave.
And crowded exits are how small moves turn into crashes.
In 1987, Germany raised rates against a weak dollar. Two months later, the S&P fell over 20% in one day. Black Monday.
In 2026, it's Japan.
Except this time, the US government is already in the market - buying yen with its own reserves, trying to control the exit.
Governments don't do that unless the alternative is worse.

Game Theory: How to Win the War by Losing the Battle Every single day, you are building an invisible framework that dictates how the world treats you. When you ignore a crossed boundary, you aren’t being patient; you are establishing a precedent of submission.…
Every decision is a game even if you don’t realize you’re playing one.
Whether it’s negotiating, networking, or navigating daily interactions, you’re constantly responding to incentives, anticipating moves, and shaping outcomes. game theory isn’t just academic it’s the hidden structure of everyday life.
Winning isn’t about being aggressive or always going first. it’s about playing smarter, predicting patterns, avoiding zero-sum traps, and building trust in repeated interactions. most importantly, it’s about knowing that the best moves often go against your gut.
If you want to thrive in business, leadership, or life, learn to think several steps ahead not just play on instinct.

Trump has launched a service that allows those who pay to see the market before anyone else.
Trump Media recently announced a service called Truth API.
It works simply.
Banks and trading companies subscribe, and Trump's Truth Social posts are delivered to them within milliseconds.
The monthly fee can reach up to $100,000.
At first glance, it seems like a simple data sale.
But the picture changes when you look at what's being sold.
Trump's posts aren't news.
They're about tariff rates, trade agreements, threats against a country, ceasefire negotiations.
These are presidential decisions, and they are priced in the second they are announced.
The numbers speak for themselves.
Following the tariffs announced on April 2, 2025, the S&P 500 fell 4.8% in a single day.
After the announcement on April 9 that the tariffs were postponed for 90 days, the indices rose sharply within minutes.
Two posts from the same account, two weeks apart, represent a trillion-dollar transaction.
In news like this, even a second counts as a delay.
High-frequency trading companies compete on milliseconds.
Truth API sells precisely this difference.
Now, let's get to the main point.
The simultaneous announcement of government decisions to everyone is not a matter of courtesy, it's a fundamental condition of the market.
Even inflation data is announced at the pre-announced time, simultaneously for everyone.
No one can see that data half an hour beforehand. If they could, it would cease to be data.
Truth API eliminates this condition.
Think of it this way:
There's an exam, and the person who prepared the questions announces a price to those who want to see them before the exam. Those who pay see them; those who don't learn them in the exam room.
The results of that exam no longer measure knowledge, but purchasing power.
There's another detail.
Approximately 41% of the company that owns Truth Social belongs to Trump.
The shares are nominally held in a fund managed by his family, which he can repurchase at any time.
Let's set up the chain.
The person who made the decision shares the information.
The platform where the information is published belongs to a company. The largest shareholder of that company is also the person who made the decision.
The company then sells early access to that information.
The decision, the information, and the revenue are all concentrated in one hand.
Three consecutive requests for investigations have been sent to Congress, both to the SEC and the Department of Justice.
The applications were made by Senator Elizabeth Warren and other members of Congress.
The question asked in all of them is the same:
Is selling early access to a president's decisions insider trading?
Now let's step back and look at the big picture.
Insider trading is nothing new.
It has existed in every administration throughout history. The decision was first told to the inner circle, and that circle would take its position accordingly.
But the way to get into that circle wasn't through money. It required kinship, loyalty, or position. That's why it was kept secret.
What changed this week wasn't the leak of information.
It was the disclosure of the price.
When information isn't distributed equally in a system, the market ceases to be a place for price determination.
The winner isn't the one who makes the most accurate analysis, but the one who hears it earlier.
There are now two types of investors:
Those who read the news and those who buy the news.

"Thank you to His Majesty Mohammed VI, the highly respected King of Morocco. It is a great honor! I hope to one day travel the entire length of this great highway, hopefully soon. President Donald J. Trump"
🇺🇸🇲🇦 Trump just sent King Mohammed VI a letter reaffirming U.S. recognition of Moroccan sovereignty over Western Sahara
and directed his teams to expand economic development there, in energy, AI, critical minerals, and defense.
The timing isn't subtle. This lands just after 60,000 people breached Ceuta, and a week after a Massie-triggered fight over Congress backing Morocco's "longstanding claim" on Ceuta and Melilla.
Trump didn't mention Ceuta once. He didn't need to. Publicly deepening the US-Morocco partnership right now says plenty on its own.
