Step 2. Connect Hermes to your Obsidian vault
If you don't have Hermes yet, download the desktop app here:

Then, paste this prompt:
"I want you to connect to my new Obsidian vault and act as my second-brain personal assistant - do everything necessary to set up that connection now."
This gives Hermes direct access to everything inside your notes vault.
Step 3. Let it self-evolve
Every time you add a new note, Hermes will automatically ingest it.
Prompt Hermes:
"Every day, scan my second brain database. Every time I add a new note, use it to create reusable skills and workflows."
Pro tip: Once Obsidian is connected to your agent, you can just prompt it directly to add notes/context/data. This works really well if you're prompting Hermes on the go from Telegram/mobile.

🇷🇺 The founder of the mining company BitRiver has been accused of fraud involving nearly 1,000,000,000 rubles.
The investigation believes that Igor Runets was involved in the fraud related to the supply of mining equipment to structures within the En+ holding company – the amount involved is considered particularly large.
BitRiver was considered the largest mining company in Russia and developed data centers based on cheap Siberian electricity. Now, the conflict surrounding the equipment supplies has escalated into a criminal case and arbitration proceedings.
Previously, he was placed under house arrest for concealing assets from the tax authorities, and the bankruptcy procedure was initiated against BitRiver's parent company due to debt for undelivered equipment.
After the new charges were brought, the Zamoskvoretsky Court of Moscow changed the measure of restraint – Runets was transferred from house arrest to pre-trial detention for two months.

Jazan refinery shut down after a Houthi strike on July 27 reportedly damaged the IGCC complex and tank farm. Repair timeline is August 15(tentatively)
This is a finished products story.
Crude can be rerouted, stored on tankers, discounted, sent through another port.
Finished fuel cannot be rerouted around a refinery that is not running.
Jazan capacity is now offline in a market where inventories are thin and margins are already at record highs.
The Houthi spokesman also claims a strike on Yanbu.
Yanbu is the exit point for the East-West Petroline, the pipeline that lets Saudi crude bypass Hormuz entirely. That pipeline is the backbone of the whole Hormuz workaround.
Aramco has not commented on either strike.

The Bank of Russia has cut its 2026 GDP growth forecast to 0%–1%, from 0.5%–1.5%.
It also raised its inflation forecast to 6%–7%, from 4.5%–5.5%, citing the sharp increase in fuel prices and temporary losses of production capacity in parts of the economy.
That is the economic transmission mechanism behind Ukraine’s drone campaign:
Refineries are damaged.
Fuel supply tightens.
Transport and production costs rise.
Prices spread through the wider economy.
And these forecasts still do not fully capture the latest attacks on Wildberries, which have damaged at least 8 warehouses representing more than 10% of the company’s logistics capacity.
The claim that Wildberries alone will push inflation above 7% remains an expert estimate, not an official central-bank forecast.
But the broader pattern is becoming clear:
