Nasdaq $NDX is bouncing along the parabolic. If the previous trendline is still valid it should provide resistance instead of support beginning tomorrow. All volatility options expire on VIXpiration 9:00 am ET tomorrow.
Nasdaq Futures are now below the 60 day moving average (white line) attempting to regain it.

Either we enter a rolling top that lasts for 6 months or we get a shock event similar to the 2025 tariffs.

The green line is extremely unlikely given moves like that usually begin after a 20-30% market correction.
Right now we're still near all-time-highs.

Insane that this is free.

Millrace is a local loop engineering & runtime framework for long-running agentic workflows.

It runs three kinds of work planes:

Planning: turns specs, probes, and incidents into bounded executable work or remediation.

Execution: builds, checks, fixes, double-checks, escalates, and updates task work.

Learning: optionally reviews runtime evidence, prepares remote optional skills after Planner, and curates accepted skill improvements.

No other AI lab is progressing faster than Meta right now.

In 2026, Meta has seen two huge leaps in LLM progress that no other frontier lab has seen.

They're still behind for now, but don't count Zuckerberg out of the AI race.
OpenAI just confirmed something that sounds like the opening scene of a dystopian movie: Two of its most advanced AI models escaped a controlled test and hacked Hugging Face.
GPT‑5.6 Sol + an even more capable model slipped out, stole credentials and exploited an unknown vulnerability — autonomously.

Hugging Face: “Stunning that this happened.” A U.S. congressman: “Alarming.” Anthropic: “Pause development.” Trump administration: “Stay ahead of China.” Mallaby: “You’re missing the proliferation threat.”

In short: AI did exactly what experts warned about — without being told to. And the industry just got its first real taste of what “too powerful” looks like.
CFR expert Sebastian Mallaby issues a stark warning: China may soon have an AI at Mythos‑level — and in its current form it could be released as an open‑weight model.
Meaning: no safeguards, no brakes, no restrictions. “Every criminal organization in the world will get it,” Mallaby says on The Foreign Affairs Interview.

He argues the Trump administration is obsessed with great‑power competition and is missing the real danger: proliferation.
This isn’t just U.S. vs China. It’s everyone vs an AI that could end up in anyone’s hands.

John Foreman: Putin can't leave power now. He’s prisoner of system he’s created. He’s going to die in harness. Putin gets older, more stale, more detached from man he used to be, more surrounded by aging sycophants, drives Russia further into the ground, with…
A catastrophe is looming in Russia — and Arkhangelsk is basically trying to heat the Arctic with a candle. Local politicians warn of a state of emergency unless Moscow sends money immediately.
Fuel deliveries are delayed, the budget covers only one‑third of what’s needed, and 21,000 tons of coal + 12,000 tons of diesel are missing. An Arctic region is about to freeze — while the Kremlin insists everything is “fine”.

The dark comedy? Putin’s own party is now shouting: “We have no money, no fuel, no answers — help!”
And the governor who claimed sanctions “don’t affect us” is watching his region go full Game of Thrones: Winter is coming — and the budget already left the chat.

The end is near — Russia prioritizes only one city. After the Ukrainian refinery attacks, the Kremlin is diverting fuel to Moscow while the rest of the country is left short.
According to Reuters, gasoline is being diverted from the Urals, Siberia, and even the Achinsk refinery directly to the capital. Hundreds of thousands of tons have been redirected — while all eleven time zones suffer from the shortage.

Crimea is the worst: rationing, restrictions, parts of society closed. Deputy Prime Minister Novak says the situation has “partially stabilized,” but the reality is clear: Moscow gets fuel. Russia gets a crisis.
Ukraine’s strategy is clear: hit the energy, hit the logistics, hit the war machine. The Kremlin’s priorities reveal how deep the blow will hit.

🚨JAPAN IS LOSING CONTROL OVER THE YEN

The Japanese yen weakened past 163 per US Dollar, for the first time since 1986.

This comes as the US Dollar strengthened alongside Treasury yields, after renewed US-Iran tensions pushed oil prices higher.

This also comes as Japan's trade deficit unexpectedly widened in June, as the weak yen inflated import costs just as the Iran war made oil more expensive.

Last week, Finance Minister Satsuki Katayama used her strongest language in weeks, warning that Japan would "take decisive action at any time," to defend the yen, with no material market effect.

Previously, Japan's Ministry of Finance spent ¥11.73 trillion, or $71.9 billion, intervening between April 28th and May 27th, yet this provided only a temporary relief for the currency.

Meanwhile, the Bank of Japan said on Wednesday to be open to raising rates faster than every 6 months, with officials reportedly viewing recent yen weakness as an upside inflation risk, though the central bank is widely expected to hold rates in July after June's hike.

Japan's repeated interventions have never been effective, with global macro forces continuing to overpower policymakers.
