If you'd put $10,000 into the S&P 500 a year ago, you'd have ~$11,500 today.

If you'd put that same $10,000 into RAM...

You'd have up to $40,000+

DDR5 has outperformed the S&P 500, gold, and most of the Mag 7 over the last 12 months:
Some sources are saying Fable 5 and GPT-5.6 may be cleared for public release as early as next week, including outside the US.

The whole point of the delay was probably to buy time against China.

That is one full month of lost distillation time for Chinese labs, while US AI labs are already using these models internally to train whatever comes next.

Brutal move if true.
A crazy blog.

Chinese developers are buying Claude access through gray-market API transfer stations that can sell tokens at 5% to 10% of official prices while hiding the real user from Anthropic.

A transfer station is a middle server that takes a user’s prompt, sends it to Claude through overseas accounts, returns the answer, and collects payment through WeChat or Alipay.

The transfer station collects many Claude accounts through free credits, discounted accounts, shared subscriptions, overseas payment workarounds, fake verification, or sometimes stolen-card accounts.

It connects all those accounts behind one proxy, so Chinese users do not talk to Anthropic directly and only pay the proxy in RMB.

The cheap price comes from account farming, free-credit abuse, resale of unused quota, subscription splitting, possible stolen cards, and a darker trade where user prompts and outputs become training data.

So the price hugely cheap not because Anthropic is giving a discount; it is cheap because the transfer station lowers its own cost and creates extra hidden revenue.

The user thinks they are buying cheap inference, but the proxy may swap Opus for weaker models, inflate token use, or store private code, tool calls, reasoning traces, and business data.

The proxy may store user prompts, code, outputs, and tool traces, then sell or reuse that data for model training.

This breaks a core assumption behind KYC, account bans, and abuse monitoring: the AI company sees the proxy, not the real person, so banning one account leaves the upstream supply chain alive.

Austria is asking the EU to give Anthropic a European base because US AI controls have turned frontier-model access into a geopolitical dependency.

It is asking Brussels to explore a political and legal package that could make Anthropic run part of its business from inside the EU, with EU law, EU customers, EU capital, and EU-based infrastructure involved.

The hard part is that hosting Anthropic in Europe would not automatically move US ownership, export law, training infrastructure, or model governance outside Washington’s reach.

Austria gave no clear mechanism for how this would actually happen.

The catch is huge: even if Anthropic had servers and a subsidiary in Europe, US export-control law could still bind Anthropic because the parent company, core technology, employees, and model governance remain American.

Austria’s real claim is that Europe should not depend fully on a US company whose strongest models can be cut off by a US government order affecting foreign users.

Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei on Open-Source AI Models.

"I don't think open source works the same way in AI that it has worked in other areas. Primarily because with open source you can see the source code of the model. Here we can't see inside the model, it's often called open weights instead of open source to kind of distinguish that. But a lot of the benefits, which is that many people can work on it and that it's kind of additive, don't quite work in the same way.

So I've actually always seen it as a red herring. When I see a new model come out I don't care whether it's open source or not. If we talk about Deep Seek I don't think it mattered that Deep Seek is open source. I think I ask, is it a good model? Is it better than us at the things that matter? That's the only thing that I care about.

It actually doesn't matter either way. Because ultimately you have to host it on the cloud. The people who host it on the cloud do inference. These are big models, they're hard to do inference on.

When I think about competition I think about which models are good at the tasks that we do. I think open source is actually a red herring.

It's not free. You have to run it on inference and someone has to make it fast on inference."

How to reduce AI token spend by 50% or more (summarized)
I connected my entire business to Hermes x Obsidian.

Client notes, SOPs, meeting logs, business decisions - all of it.

My Hermes agent now runs automations I didn't even know I needed, and my agent self-evolves over time.

Here's exactly how I set it up

OpenAI, Anthropic, and xAI together used only about 21% of global operational AI compute at the end of 2025, while the world had roughly 16 million deployed H100-equivalents and 20 million sold H100-equivalents.

💸 The Fed's balance sheet decreased by $779,000,000 in one week!

▪️Kashkari, Fed Chairman:
- Concerned about inflation, especially in the services sector.
- The rise in inflation is not just related to oil and events in the Middle East.
- I admit that the Fed may need to raise the rate if inflation remains broad-based.

▪️Goolsbee, Fed Chairman:
- Inflation remains too high and is moving in the wrong direction.
- The main problem now is inflation in the services sector.
- I support the abandonment of overly rigid forecasts about the future path of the rate and the simplification of the Fed's communication.

▪️Williams, Fed Chairman:
- The Fed's DCO remains well-balanced.
- I expect inflation to slow down to about 3.5% this year.
- I don't see a need to change the current course of the DCO.

❗️Market expectations (Fed rate):
- July 29: PAUSE.
- September 17: increase by 25 bps to 3.75-4.00%.

The moment people realize longevity escape velocity might actually be possible with ASI, society is going to get very weird very fast.

Because suddenly “healthcare” stops being about managing decline and starts being about buying time until the next breakthrough.

Careers, retirement, relationships, risk-taking, politics, everything changes when people start thinking they might not be locked into the old 80-year human expiration date.

Most people still treat radical life extension like sci-fi.

But once ASI makes it feel real?

The entire psychology of civilization shifts overnight.
Bloomberg chart showing just how much RAM datacenter GPUs take.

Nvidia’s H100 carried 80GB of GPU memory, H200 moved to 141GB, Blackwell moved to 192GB class parts, and GB300 Blackwell Ultra reaches 288GB of HBM3e per GPU.

A 72-GPU rack multiplies that into a memory wall big enough to change supplier behavior, because AI servers pay premium prices for capacity and bandwidth that make everyday device memory less attractive

$KOSPI/USD H2 #Indicator #Signal #Trading #GlobalOneAI
South Korea's KOSPI is experiencing massive volatility.

Over $600 BILLION in swings over the past 5 hours.

Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix are set to unveil investment plans worth up to $1.3 trillion over the next 10 years today.
🚨 SOUTH KOREA JUST UNVEILED $650 BILLION IN AI AND CHIP SPENDING.

Samsung and SK Hynix announced a combined investment plan that could top 1,000 trillion won ($650 BILLION) over the next decade, alongside President Lee Jae Myung's push for balanced regional growth.

Here's the breakdown:

1. Samsung and SK Hynix announce 800 trillion won($518 B) investment in four semiconductor fabrication plants.

2. 81 trillion won ($52.45B) goes into HBM packaging facilities.

3. 30 trillion won ($19.42B) over 15 years for next-generation memory tech.

4. Seoul's DRAM production is targeted to double in 5 years.

5. 18.4 gigawatts of AI data center capacity planned by 2035, starting with 8.4 gigawatts by 2029 from SK Group, GS Group, and Naver.

Samsung's Chairman Lee Jae-yong said current capacity can't meet demand, with new investments also going into robotics, biotech, batteries, and chip substrates across multiple regions.

Despite the scale of the announcement, both stocks fell. Samsung dropped -5.3%, SK Hynix fell -3.4%.

A single semiconductor fab alone costs at least 60 trillion won ($40 billion) and takes years to build, so the actual supply increase from this plan won't materialize for years, while investors have to absorb the financing cost now.

That's also why the Korea Exchange pulled a planned options launch tied to these stocks, the market is pricing in execution and funding risk over the headline number itself, especially with South Korea's market already down 10% in the past week on broader AI valuation fears.
