$MU $SNDK $WDC $INTC $ASML | A structural memory chip shortage dubbed "RAMageddon" is driving a 15 to 20% price surge for smartphones, laptops, and consoles.

AI data centers are devouring 70% of global DRAM supply, forcing OEMs to pass surging component costs to consumers.
Meta can throw billions at AI and still somehow look late.

The new model is decent, but the whole thing feels like panic buying talent and hoping scale fixes taste.

Do you actually see them catching up?

Is this the next $SIVE?

$BLG is advancing a differentiated position in the visible semiconductor laser market through its proprietary Remote Plasma Chemical Vapor Deposition (RPCVD) technology.

This platform enables the growth of high-performance gallium nitride (GaN) Distributed Feedback (DFB) lasers, a capability that remains commercially unavailable in GaN today.

The core opportunity lies in applications that demand exceptional spectral purity and wavelength stability. DFB lasers developed with RPCVD are particularly well suited for atomic clocks, filtered free-space optical communications, and next-generation autonomous vehicle systems, where they can deliver pinpoint time and space location accuracy that significantly exceeds conventional GPS performance. Industry interest in BluGlass’s recent technical paper on RPCVD-grown GaN DFB lasers has been strong, underscoring the technology’s novelty and relevance.

Recent contract wins provide clear validation and non-dilutive funding for this potential. In March 2026, BluGlass entered a A$1.25 million multi-phased development program with a Tier-1 U.S. defence prime.

The initial A$560,000 order covers custom development and packaging of visible GaN DFB lasers and gain chips for eventual deployment in next-generation dual-use defence and aerospace applications. Successful prototype testing of the gain chips has already been completed.

Shortly afterwards, in April 2026, the company secured a A$1.3 million strategic collaboration with a global Fortune 500 leader in mass-capacity data storage.

The partnership leverages BluGlass’s laser expertise to support the customer’s future photonics research and development.

Further reinforcing its defence and quantum credentials, $BLG received a A$1.05 million Year 3 contract extension from the U.S. Department of Defense’s Microelectronics Commons (CLAWS Hub).

This renewed funding builds on prior success and strengthens the company’s role in critical supply chains for defence, quantum, and dual-use technologies.

These announcements sit alongside steady progress toward vertical integration.

Since acquiring the Fremont fabrication facility in 2022, $BLG has transferred key processes in-house, secured operating permits, and is targeting full exclusive in-house manufacturing by the end of FY23.

This move improves cost control, accelerates development cycles, protects intellectual property, and positions the company for scalable production.

BluGlass’s GaN laser diode portfolio spans 395–525 nm in both single- and multi-mode configurations, offered across a wide range of flexible form factors (single emitters, bars, chip-on-submounts, TO cans, butterfly packages, and multi-chip modules).

Target markets include industrial processing, defence and aerospace, scientific instrumentation, biotech, quantum technologies, and consumer electronics/display applications.

The company is actively engaging with leading OEMs such as Coherent, IPG Photonics, Trumpf, nLight, as well as major electronics and defence primes including Apple, Samsung, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Northrop Grumman.

Taken together, the combination of unique RPCVD-enabled DFB technology, proven prototype performance, multiple high-value contracts with government and Tier-1 commercial partners, and advancing vertical integration creates a compelling foundation for substantial future growth.

$BLG is well placed to become a key supplier of high-performance visible GaN lasers in markets where spectral purity, reliability, and domestic or allied supply-chain security are increasingly critical.

⚡ The most expensive electricity on earth costs 155x the cheapest.

Bermuda residents pay $0.466/kWh.

Iran pays $0.003.

Same kilowatt, wildly different bill.

The split is almost entirely about fuel imports vs. domestic subsidies.

The top of the list is islands and import-dependent Europe (Ireland $0.447, Italy $0.415, Germany $0.406).

The bottom is energy producers subsidizing at home (Iran, Iraq $0.015, Qatar $0.032, Saudi $0.052).

The US sits 55th at $0.186, roughly half of Germany's rate.

The real question for the next decade which subsidized markets can hold those prices as export economics tighten?

Perfect immunity from jailbreak is not possible even for the strongest of LLMs. New study shows that frontier models are getting harder to jailbreak, but not impossible to jailbreak. The study attacks Anthropic’s Fable 5 and Opus 4.8 with automated red-team…
🚨SHOCKING: NSA LEAD SAYS CLAUDE MYTHOS BROKE INTO ALL CLASSIFIED SYSTEMS WITHIN "HOURS"

The Economist reports that on the same day Amazon uncovered the jailbreak, General Joshua Rudd, who leads the National Security Agency and Pentagon’s Cyber Command, said Mythos:

“Broke into almost all of our classified systems, not in weeks, but in hours.”
🇨🇳China burns more electricity than the next 2 economies combined.

China consumes 8.9 trillion kWh a year, 2.2x 🇺🇸 the US at 4.1T

🇮🇳India is a distant 3rd at 1.5T, then 🇷🇺Russia at 1.0T.

Add up the US, India and Russia and you still trail China.

Electricity is the new hard ceiling on AI and industrial scale.

Compute, EVs, and data centers all cash out as kilowatt-hours, and China already has the biggest grid feeding them.

The AI race and the energy race are the same race.

Whoever can add terawatt-hours fastest sets the pace, and right now that's not the US.

France at 412.6B kWh, the most nuclear-heavy grid on the board.

Who closes the gap with China first, and on what fuel?

📈 The S&P 500 added $5 trillion in 2026.

AI stocks added $6 trillion.

The math only works because everything else is shrinking.

AI names contributed +$6T, energy +$200B, and every other sector combined erased -$1T.

The index is up because 2 sectors are carrying a market that's otherwise down.

all the gains trace to 84 firms, plus 22 energy stocks.
AI-linked names are now 47% of total S&P 500 market cap, near a record and up from 27% in early 2023.

energy it's the only non-AI sector still adding value, which makes it the market's real diversification trade, not a sideshow.

When the AI bid pauses, the breadth question gets answered fast.

If 47% of the index is one theme, what's actually holding up the other 53%?

When the new intern asks me to describe the manager who just left the company (I'm taking his job):
GPT 5.6 will beat Fable 5 where it actually matters: real world usage.

The big difference will be agents.

Planning, tool use, long context, recovering from mistakes, finishing messy tasks without constant babysitting.

That’s the stuff people will feel every day.

Benchmarks are nice.

Reliable agents are the real product.
I’m starting to wonder if OpenAI beats Anthropic in enterprise after all.

Claude Code got the early nerd mindshare, but Codex seems to be growing faster right now.

And enterprise is where this whole game gets brutally real.

Does Anthropic still have the moat, or is OpenAI about to eat it?

If Elon Musk can expose how unprofitable LLMs are by suddenly announcing drastic cost cutting measures, then it destroys Sam Altman before he has a chance to IPO.

Thus completing the circle of revenge Elon has been planning for years.
