6 traders made $470,000+ in profit trading weather markets on Polymarket - a niche most people completely ignore These aren't lucky bets. Each of them built a repeatable edge around temperature data that the market consistently misprices Here's the full…
How to Build a Profitable Trading Bot for Polymarket Weather Markets: Bias Correction Breakdown

If you're seriously building a bot for daily high/low temperature markets on Polymarket, then you need to understand bias correction

I studied the paper "A Machine Learning–Based Bias Correction Method for GFS 2-m Temperature" (Cui et al., Weather and Forecasting, May 2026) and here’s how to do bias correction properly

> What the Paper is About

GFS is one of the most popular models that almost every bot uses. However, it has systematic errors (bias) in 2-meter temperature forecasts.

Especially a cold bias (the model underestimates temperature), which varies depending on time of day, region, and forecast horizon.

> What the Authors Did

β€’ Developed a model called BC-Unet - a U-Net convolutional neural network with CBAM attention block
β€’ Trained it on GFS outputs + ERA5 reanalysis (as ground truth)
β€’ Covered the entire CONUS (USA)
β€’ Trained on one horizon (72 hours) and then applied it to all horizons from 6 hours to 10 days
β€’ Compared results against both ERA5 and real station observations

> Key Results

β€’ Reduced average RMSE down to 0.35Β°C.
β€’ Reduced cold bias down to 0.8Β°C (in 00 UTC cycle).
β€’ Excellent performance on diurnal cycle (day/night) - critical for high/low bins.
β€’ Outperforms traditional methods (like MOS).

> How to Calculate Bias

Bias = Forecast βˆ’ Truth (where Truth = ERA5 or real station observation)

If bias is negative β†’ model systematically underestimates temperature (cold bias)

Bias is calculated separately by:
β€’ Region
β€’ Time of day (day/night - diurnal cycle)
β€’ Forecast horizon
β€’ Season

> How to Reduce Bias

1. Simple Classical Methods (baseline):

β€’ Moving average, Kalman filter, MOS (Model Output Statistics) - linear regression on past errors.

2. ML Approach (BC-Unet):

β€’ The neural network learns nonlinear relationships between raw GFS forecast, orography, time of day, season, and the actual error
β€’ CBAM attention helps the network focus on important areas (mountains, cities, water bodies).
β€’ Train once - apply to all horizons.
β€’ Result: bias is almost eliminated, and the model follows the real diurnal temperature cycle much better

This kind of post-processing (bias correction) turns raw GFS from an average source into a much more accurate one

On Polymarket markets with 1Β°C steps, this gives a noticeable edge in probability estimation

$JFB Most investors see:
A small construction company.
The market may soon see:
An emerging AI defense platform.
The chart is quietly improving.
- U-bottom developing
- Buyers defending the $5 area
- RSI recovering
- OBV strengthening
- Breakout level near $6.50
If momentum continues building above current levels, the next major zone sits near $8-$10.

And that's before we even discuss the merger catalyst...

$SMX | Potential Recovery Setup Developing

$SMX has spent months under heavy selling pressure, but the chart is finally starting to show signs of life.

Technical observations:

- Higher lows forming since the mid-May bottom
- Volume steadily improving
- RSI(14) at 29.4 β€” still deeply oversold
- MFI(14) at 63.2 β€” momentum improving
- OBV recovering from recent lows
- Trading above key support in the $17–18 area
The key technical trigger now:

➑ A breakout above $20 – 26 could open the door toward $46 – $70+ in a recovery scenario.

For a company with a small float and highly speculative profile, momentum can accelerate very quickly once traders start paying attention.

$SMX | The "Age of Parity" Could Be Bigger Than Most Investors Realize
For decades, virgin plastic was simply the cheaper option.

That equation is starting to change.

According to SMX's latest "Age of Parity" thesis, supply chain disruptions, tariffs, resource constraints, carbon regulations, and sustainability requirements are pushing recycled materials closer to cost parity with virgin plastic.

Why does that matter?

Because once recycled materials become economically competitive, verification and traceability become critical.

That's exactly where $SMX is positioning itself.

- Molecular marking technology
- Blockchain-based traceability
- Digital Material Passports
- Circular economy infrastructure
- Supply chain transparency

The market opportunity isn't just recycling.
It's creating trusted, verifiable identities for physical materials moving through global supply chains.
And with only:
~650K shares outstanding
~35K public float
~11.6% short float
It doesn't take much attention for supply and demand dynamics to become very interesting.

High risk?
Absolutely.

But the combination of:
β†’ sustainability
β†’ traceability
β†’ blockchain infrastructure
β†’ and an exceptionally tight float structure

makes $SMX one of the more unique speculative stories currently trading on Nasdaq.
$JFB Nice start today.

Volume is starting to build while price remains trapped inside a tight compression pattern.

What stands out:

β†’ higher lows forming
β†’ volatility contracting
β†’ sellers unable to push it lower
β†’ accumulation continuing under the surface

Most breakouts don't start with excitement.

They start with boredom.
$JFB looks like it's entering that phase now.

The XTEND merger narrative remains one of the more interesting small-cap stories in the market:

- Infrastructure
- AI Robotics
- Defense Technology

A decisive break from this compression could attract a completely different audience.

Watching very closely.

🚨Copper just hit $14,000/ton

Goldman, Citi and HSBC all published bullish notes today.

And Codelco, the world's largest copper producer, just fired its CEO over inflated production figures.

The supply crisis just got a leadership crisis on top. ⛏️

3 things happened simultaneously today that every copper investor needs to understand:

1️⃣The banks officially joined the trade:

β†’ Goldman Sachs: lifted end-2026 target +10% to $13,735 cut global mine supply estimates by 350,000 tons

β†’ Citi: $14,500 this month. $15,000 within a year.

β†’ HSBC: overlaid the Hormuz "super-squeeze" thesis on top of the structural deficit

Ex-US copper deficit projected to balloon 10x to 640,000 tons. πŸ’°

2️⃣The supply problem is structural:

β†’ Grasberg (world's 2nd copper mine): still recovering from September 2025 underground flood. Force majeure still active. Full capacity: not before 2028.

β†’ Kamoa-Kakula: cut 2026 guidance by 22% after seismic disruption. Same timeline.

2 of the world's most important copper mines simultaneously impaired for multiple years.

On the demand side: nothing has softened.

Grid expansion, EVs, AI data centers, defence all absorbing copper faster than the market can supply⚑

3️⃣CODELCO – CorporaciΓ³n Nacional del Cobre de Chile the world's largest copper producer just changed CEO:

Jorge Gomez named to replace RubΓ©n Alvarado who exits amid a scandal over inflated production figures.

This is Chile's state copper giant.

397,000 tonnes in Q4 2025.

Second only to BHP globally.

When the world's largest copper producer has a production credibility problem in the middle of a structural supply squeeze that is is signal. 🌍
Alphabet is about to do the largest equity sale in history.
Bigger than SpaceX's IPO.

Bigger than Petrobras in 2010.
Nearly 3x Aramco's 2019 IPO.

$80 billion, in a single equity raise.

The previous record holders were both oil companies at the peak of their cycles.

πŸ‡§πŸ‡·Petrobras in 2010: $65 billion to drill the pre salt ultra deepwater fields off Brazil the biggest oil discovery in decades. The market couldn't get enough.

πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡¦Aramco in 2019: $25 billion to monetise the world's largest oil reserve. The most profitable company on earth going public. Still the largest IPO ever at the time.
Both were energy. Both were oil. Both represented the dominant capital deployment thesis of their era.

Now Alphabet an AI company, is about to raise more than both combined.
Not to drill. Not to pump. To build compute.

The capital cycle has rotated completely.

2010s: the world's largest equity raises funded oil megaprojects deepwater, pre-salt, sovereign oil reserves.

2026: the world's largest equity raises fund AI infrastructure data centers, GPUs, power.
🚨Private data center construction just crossed public transportation infrastructure.

$50 billion.

It took roads and bridges 20 years.

Data centers did it in 2.

$50 billion in construction per year needs electrons.

The grid took the same 20 years to build its current capacity.

It cannot absorb a vertical demand curve on a 2 year timeline.

Grid interconnects: 5-7 year queue.

Data center construction: vertical.

That gap is where the private gas turbine market lives.

Hyperscalers aren't waiting for the grid.

They're building behind the meter mobile turbines on site in 12-18 months.

The binding constraint isn't capital.

It is gas & It's turbines.
