AI needs electricity....Everyone knows that.

What nobody talks about is how much water AI needs.

30 trillion additional liters per year by 2050.

Data centers get all the headlines.

The real water story is in the infrastructure behind AI the power plants cooling with water, and the fabs that need ultra-pure water at every step of chip production.

TSMC's Arizona plant ran into water supply issues before it opened.

That wasn't a one off. It was a preview.

Every GW of gas-fired power built for AI data centers needs cooling water.

Every Nvidia chip fab needs ultra-pure water at industrial scale.

The AI buildout isn't just an energy constraint story.

It's a water constraint story and water doesn't have a global spot market or a futures curve.

The commodity nobody prices is the one that stops everything when it runs out.
If you're an SWE, this chart should excite you.

AI is only creating MORE code to manage, and as a result, SWE jobs are skyrocketing.

The data speaks for itself:
Uber burned through its entire 2026 AI budget in 4 months.

Microsoft just canceled its Anthropic licenses.

This is a common theme we'll continue to see - 50%+ of AI budgets now exceed $100k/month.

The cheaper alternative is just to hire.

China just open-sourced a desktop AI agent that runs fully LOCAL.

It sees your screen, controls your mouse and keyboard, and completes real tasks across any app using plain English.

β€œDownload the report, upload it here, and send the email.”

Done.

No APIs.
No cloud dependency.
No complex setup.

Just AI operating your computer like a real assistant.

This is where things get interesting:

Every repetitive computer task can now be automated:

β€’ reporting
β€’ data entry
β€’ CRM updates
β€’ file management
β€’ admin workflows
β€’ invoice handling

Which means businesses no longer need more manual work.
They need better automations.

That’s the opportunity.

You don’t sell the tool.
You sell the automation you build with it.

One workflow can save a company hundreds of hours.
One reliable setup can become recurring revenue.

And because it runs completely local, sensitive company data never leaves the machine.

That removes one of the biggest reasons companies avoid AI tools.

29k+ stars already.

The people who automate repetitive digital work early will have a massive advantage.

Boston Dynamics' Atlas could be the first humanoid robot at the World Cup.

will it kick the first ball? Or the Hand of God…just celebrating, dancing?
⚑️ LATEST: AI consultants are charging Wall Street banks up to $25,000 a day to help them automate workflows, per Bloomberg.

Global banks are pouring billions into AI but still struggling to make it work.

Every major technological shift starts the same way:

Massive spending first.
Real productivity later.

Most people underestimate how long that transition takes.

Meta is extremely undervalued right now (Save this).

"Meta's $125 billion investment in AI could be the biggest capital expenditure mistake of the decade", that is what the bears are saying.

And on the surface, it sounds alarming, Meta just raised its 2026 capex forecast to between $125 billion and $145 billion, nearly double what it spent in all of 2025, and the stock dropped 5% the day the numbers came out.

The investment community is growing visibly frustrated with the cash burn but then Zuckerberg sat down and explained his thinking and it changes the calculus completely.

He did not pretend there was no risk of a mistake.

He said outright that if they end up misspending a couple hundred billion dollars, "that is going to be very unfortunate."

But his argument was that for a company like Meta, one that is not at risk of going out of business, the asymmetry of risk runs in one direction.

If superintelligence arrives in three years and you built for five, you are out of position on what he believes will be "the most important technology that enables the most new products, innovation, and value creation in history."

The companies that actually worry him are OpenAI and Anthropic startups raising capital from external investors who are subject to macro conditions entirely out of their control.

A bad geopolitical event, a market downturn, a shift in sentiment, any of those could cut off compute funding for a startup in ways that simply cannot happen to Meta.

That is exactly why the valuation case is so compelling right now.

Meta is trading as if the market is pricing in the spending without pricing in the return but Goldman estimates the present-discounted value of capital revenue unlocked by AI productivity gains at $8 trillion, ranging from $5 trillion to $19 trillion.

Historically, new technologies with high fixed deployment costs and low marginal scaling costs compound advantage for the companies with the capital to make the upfront investment widening the gap between the biggest players and everyone else.

Meta has $58 billion in cash on its balance sheet, the most profitable social media business in history funding the buildout, and a CEO who has been right about big bets before.

The companies that can afford to potentially misspend $200 billion are also the ones most likely to dominate whatever comes next and right now, the market is discounting Meta like it is one of the companies that cannot.
🚨The world generated 31,779 terawatt hours of electricity in 2025.

57% came from fossil fuels.

Global electricity generation mix:

πŸ”΄ Coal: 33%
πŸ”΄ Natural gas: 22%
πŸ’§ Hydro: 14%
☒️ Nuclear: 8.9%
β˜€οΈ Solar: 8.7%
πŸ’¨ Wind: 8.5%
πŸ”΄ Other fossil: 2.7%
πŸ”΅ Other clean: 2.5%

Natural gas at 22% is the bridge fuel holding the grid together and AI is about to make it bigger (as i wrote in my previous article link in the comments).

44.9 GW of new US gas capacity is in the pipeline.

Meta is building 10 gas plants in Louisiana.

Google just contracted 1.5 GW in Missouri.

The 22% is heading higher before it heads lower.
