The AI Revolution is transforming South Korea's economy:
South Korea's exports surged +52.6% YoY in the first 20 days of May, the strongest reading on record.
This marks an acceleration from the already massive +49.4% gain seen in the first 20 days of April.
This is also the 4th consecutive month with growth of at least +40.0%.
The surge was driven by semiconductor exports that soared +202.1% YoY, fueled by AI and data center investment demand.
Furthermore, shipments of computer-related products surged +305.5%, underpinned by continued investment in AI infrastructure.
On an unadjusted basis, exports rose +64.8% YoY, with imports up +29.3%, leaving a trade surplus of $11 billion.
South Korea's economy has never been hotter.

Muscle-Computer Interface + Robot Hand: Entering the Cyborg Era
This carbon-fiber bionic hand--the PSYONIC Ability Hand doesn’t just give amputees near-natural dexterity. It’s already being used on Apollo, AEON, and other humanoid robots for real tasks, making true human-machine shared use a reality.
Now, the Ability Hand has taken another huge leap: near thought-controlled operation.
Thanks to Phantom Neuro, an Austin-based startup, their Muscle-Computer Interface (MCI) makes it possible.
With a quick 15-minute minimally invasive outpatient procedure, tiny sensors are implanted under the skin into the residual limb muscles.
These sensors wirelessly read muscle electrical signals (EMG) in real time and translate your intention into precise actions--gripping, rotating the wrist, pinching, and even flipping the middle finger.
Even better: you can still wirelessly control devices even when the hand is removed.
Compared to Neuralink’s brain implants that require skull surgery, Phantom Neuro’s muscle interface is lower risk, faster to deploy, and far more practical for most amputees.
Tester Alex (who lost his right arm at age 11) now uses the hand fluently in everyday life, with impressively smooth control.
Human-machine fusion might not start in the brain after all… but in the muscles.

🇨🇳China produced 960.8 million tonnes of steel.
⚠️That's more than the next 12 countries combined.
Global steel production in 2025: 1,849.4 Mt
China's share: 960.8 Mt, 52% of the entire planet's output.
The full ranking:
🇨🇳 China — 960.8 Mt
🇮🇳 India 164.9 Mt
🇯🇵 Japan 80.7 Mt
🇺🇸 United States 82 Mt
🇷🇺 Russia 67.8 Mt
🇰🇷 South Korea 61.9 Mt
🇹🇷 Türkiye 38.1 Mt
🇧🇷 Brazil 33.3 Mt
🇩🇪 Germany 34.1 Mt
🇮🇷 Iran 31.8 Mt
🇻🇳 Vietnam 24.7 Mt
🇹🇼 Taiwan 17.1 Mt
Asia is rising fast.
Beyond China, India at 164.9 Mt is solidly 2nd and growing.
Vietnam, Indonesia, Iran despite sanctions.
The center of gravity in industrial production is shifting south and east permanently. 🌍
🇪🇺Europe is shrinking.
The continent that built the industrial revolution is now a rounding error in global steel output.
High energy costs, carbon pricing, and deindustrialisation are showing up directly in these numbers.
Steel is not just a commodity.
It's the physical substrate of military capacity, infrastructure, shipbuilding, and industrial output.
A country that produces 52% of the world's steel has a structural advantage in every hard-power competition from naval construction to pipeline infrastructure to weapons manufacturing.

US trade with China collapsed $49 billion in one quarter.
Taiwan surged $39 billion.
The tariff war is redrawing global trade ⚠️
Biggest winners Q1 2026 vs Q1 2025
→ Taiwan: +$39B AI chips
→ Vietnam: +$18B manufacturing shift
→ Mexico: +$16B nearshoring
Biggest losers:
→ China: -$49B
→ Ireland: -$44B pharma normalisation
→ Switzerland: -$36B
→ Canada: -$22B
Taiwan's +$39B is the entire AI supply chain story in one number. TSMC's output has become a macroeconomic variable.
Vietnam and Mexico are where China's factories went.
The trade data now confirms it.
China's -$49B is the largest collapse on the chart and this is before the full tariff escalation cycle completed.
The decoupling isn't a trend. It's a fact.

ANTHROPIC 🔥: Mythos 1, "claude-mythos-1-preview", is being prepared for a release on Claude Code and Claude Security.
The model became visible for a short amount of time on Claude; besides that, new strings mentioning Mythos have been added.
> Access to the Claude Mythos model in Claude Code and Claude Security.
It still doesn't mean the general public will have access to this exact model, according to Anthropic's earlier communication.
