The US State Department is preparing a limited series of new American passports with an image of Donald Trump, writes The Bulwark citing two sources familiar with the project.
The design may be timed to the 250th anniversary of US independence. It is proposed to place Trump's portrait against the backdrop of the Declaration of Independence on the inner cover of the passport, as well as his signature in gold.
We are talking about a limited edition of 25,000 passports. The design has not yet received final approval.
