36 hours after the blockade went live.
Hormuz is still silent
MarineTraffic data confirms vessel traffic remains significantly below normal.
Remember:
📊 Normal: 135 ships/day
📉 Today: single digits
🛢️ 172M barrels frozen in the Gulf
⏳ Ceasefire expires April 22nd... 6 days away
🇮🇷 Iran: $400M/day bleeding out
Every tanker watching knows the rules now.
Silence on the water.
Noise everywhere else.

Governments don't want you to learn history, because they literally repeat it.
What happened in the 1970s is happening again, but this time instead of a 4% reduction in oil it's 20%. The U.S. is intentionally blowing up refineries in Russia & Australia, pipelines to Europe, capturing Venezuela so additional oil supply can't come online.
The goal is to starve China and the world of oil, collapsing industrial capacity outside of the U.S. and sucking all of the Dollars in circulation back into the U.S.
The U.S. doesn't care how bad the economy gets, as long as it's worse everywhere else.

Correct again #richimedhurst. The goal here is starve China of oil and Dollars, while destroying their Belt & Road initiative.
China has 4 months of oil reserves + Russian pipelines, so this Iran blockade could last 6 months or longer if China doesn't make a deal.
This oil shortage will damage many countries outside of China that hold U.S. treasuries, and that's the plan.
I believe the ultimate goal here is to starve every nation of oil and Dollars so that they're desperately willing to sell their U.S. treasuries back to the U.S. below face value, in exchange for oil or Dollars.
This allows the U.S. to take their debt out of circulation (at a discount), and eliminate interest payments on the debt that is no longer sustainable.
Thus a Great Reset of debt.

#PathRobotics just launched Rove, a mobile welding robot that pairs its Obsidian AI model with a legged platform — bringing autonomous welding directly to the workpiece instead of the other way around.
First launch partner: Saronic Technologies, which builds autonomous naval vessels in Franklin, Louisiana, and is integrating Rove into its shipyard operations.
Fixed-cell welding automation just got legs.

Jensen Huang just made the most direct argument of his career about why banning $NVDA Nvidia from China is not a national security strategy but rather a national security failure.
Dwarkesh asks why Nvidia should be allowed to sell chips to China at all, if China would just use Huawei chips without them.
Jensen's answer was that in the absence of a better choice, you take the only choice you have.
As long as China has to settle for inferior chips, they are building their AI infrastructure on a foundation that is slower, harder to program, and years behind American technology.
The moment the US decides to ban Nvidia from selling to China entirely, it removes that disadvantage.
China is 40 percent of the global technology industry, Jensen said.
Conceding that market, handing it entirely to Huawei is a disservice to American national security, American technology leadership, and American economic power.
The data shows what has already happened since the export bans tightened.
Nvidia's share of China's AI chip market collapsed from 95 percent to 55 percent in 2025 and at one point during the H20 ban, Jensen himself declared Nvidia had gone from 95 percent share to zero on advanced accelerators.
The Trump administration's ban on H20 chips cost Nvidia an estimated 15 billion dollars in lost sales, plus a 4.5 billion dollar inventory write-down.
Without the export controls, Nvidia was on track to generate roughly 23 billion dollars in H20 chip sales to China in 2025 alone.
Meanwhile Huawei shipped 812,000 AI chips in 2025 and Beijing has now mandated that all state-funded data centers must switch to domestic chips.
Jensen's deeper argument is about the global stack, not the quarterly revenue.
When developers around the world build AI on CUDA, Nvidia's programming platform, they are building on American technology. When those AI models deploy into every country, the American stack goes with them.
Cutting Nvidia out of China does not slow Chinese AI but rather accelerates the construction of a parallel Chinese tech stack that, once built at scale, competes with American technology everywhere else in the world.

🚨The IEA chief just said it out loud and clear:
6 weeks of jet fuel left in Europe.
Not oil or gas....Jet fuel 🛫
The flights are next.
"Soon we will hear that some flights from City A to City B might be cancelled."
Think about what that means:
✈️ Business travel: disrupted
📦 Air freight: grounded
🏖️ Summer holidays: at risk
💊 Medical supply chains: by air
🌍 Every European hub airport: on a countdown
This isn't abstract geopolitics anymore, It's your next flight.
Hormuz blockaded → Qatar LNG gone → European reserves empty April 20th → now jet fuel in 6 weeks.
🇪🇺 Von der Leyen said "use less energy."
The International Energy Agency (IEA) is saying you won't have a choice.
And this is just the beginning of the downstream cascade.

Xanadu, powered by the AMD DevCloud, has successfully demonstrated CFD simulations within a hybrid quantum-classical program, showcasing the significant potential of quantum computing for the industry.
The work centered on the compilation and execution of a CFD model with 256x256 matrix elements.
This hybrid program utilized 20 qubits and approximately 35 million quantum gates, pushing the boundaries of current CFD quantum simulations.
As the industry advances toward fault-tolerant quantum computing, the ability to compile and optimize programs of this scale will become a critical competitive advantage.
This milestone demonstrates that Xanadu and AMD can support next-generation quantum-classical applications by combining their respective technologies and expertise, helping transition quantum computing from research environments toward industrial use in aerospace and engineering.
