2 weeks ago Iran closed Hormuz.
one day ago the US blockaded it.
This week the world is buying American.
The market didn't wait for diplomats.
It just rerouted.

The US imports less than 8% of its oil from the Persian Gulf.
So why is it blockading Hormuz?
It's not protecting its supply.
It's controlling everyone else's.
๐ US Gulf imports: 35% in 1975 โ under 8% today
๐ธ๐ฆ Saudi + Iraq combined less than 500K bpd to US shores
๐บ๐ธ US crude exports: racing toward record 5M bpd
Meanwhile through Hormuz flows:
๐จ๐ณ China: 75% of its Middle East oil
๐ฏ๐ต Japan: majority of total imports
๐ฐ๐ท South Korea: heavily dependent
๐ฎ๐ณ India: 60%+ of crude supply
Hormuz is America's leverage.
Whoever controls the strait controls the energy budgets of every major US competitor simultaneously.
Iran thought it was seizing a chokepoint.
It handed the US the master key.

๐ข Donald Trump: Europe desperately needs energy, and yet the United Kingdom refuses to develop North Sea oil, one of the largest fields in the world. A tragedy!!! Aberdeen should be thriving. Norway sells its North Sea oil to the UK at double the price. They're making a fortune. The UK, which is better positioned in the North Sea in terms of energy than Norway, should โ DRILL, BABY, DRILL!!! It's absolutely insane that they're not doing this... AND ENOUGH WITH THE WIND TURBINES!
