The damage to the global economy is already done, people just haven't realized it yet Cutting off 20% of oil, 30% fertilizer and 30% of helium for 30+ days will have ripple effects in the coming months that can't be predicted. Similar to 2008 the actual impactโ€ฆ

People are starting to realize how large of a crisis this oil, fertilizer & helium shock is to the global economy

It's basically 2020 lockdowns, 2008 credit bubble, 2001 tech bubble, 1970s oil shock all wrapped into one. The only comparable period is the great depression of 1929
๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ท Pentagon outlines one of the most complex US military plans ever to Trump

The proposal involves inserting troops deep into Iran, deploying the 82nd Airborne to secure the area, constructing a makeshift runway, breaching underground tunnels, and extracting highly secured uranium under extreme combat conditions

The operation could take weeks or months, with forces facing constant missile and drone threats and relying on a very limited number of nuclear material specialists

Despite recent remarks downplaying the uranium, Trump was reportedly briefed on this high risk recovery plan and is set to address the nation tonight

THE MOST INSANE MILITARY PLAN AMERICA HAS EVER CONSIDERED

The Pentagon briefed Trump on a plan to physically seize Iran's nuclear material. Here is what that actually means, step by step:

Step 1: Fly hundreds of troops deep into Iranian airspace โ€” one of the most heavily defended in the world.

Step 2: Parachute the 82nd Airborne Division into the middle of a country you are actively at war with.

Step 3: Secure a perimeter while Iranian ground forces, IRGC fighters, and air defenses are trying to kill everyone.

Step 4: Build a runway. From scratch. In hostile territory. While under attack.

Step 5: Fly in heavy excavation equipment.

Step 6: Blast through Fordow or Natanz โ€” facilities buried 80-90 meters underground inside reinforced mountain rock.

Step 7: Extract roughly 450kg of highly enriched uranium โ€” radioactive material that can kill you if mishandled.

Step 8: Load it onto planes and fly out of Iranian airspace.

This is what the Pentagon thinks is possible.

The 82nd Airborne has already deployed to the Middle East. Three aircraft carrier groups are in the region. The war is in week 5.

Trump is apparently listening.

D-Day moved 156,000 troops across the English Channel with months of planning and naval support. The Bin Laden raid was 25 SEALs, a known compound, 40 minutes.

This is neither.

๐Ÿšจ Let me explain what the Pentagon just proposed and why nobody should be sleeping tonight..

they briefed Trump on extracting 1,000 pounds of enriched uranium from deep underground in Iran..

> step 1.. fly hundreds of troops into hostile territory

> step 2.. parachute in the 82nd Airborne to "secure the perimeter" of an entire nation shooting at you

> step 3.. build a runway from scratch in the middle of Iran

> step 4.. bring heavy excavation equipment to blast through 300 feet of rubble

> step 5.. send special operators underground in hazmat suits with blow torches

> step 6.. find the uranium while checking every container for booby traps and decoys

> step 7.. decontaminate everything

> step 8.. fly it all out through airspace full of Iranian missiles

timeline.. weeks to months.. under constant fire.. only a few dozen people in the entire US military are trained for nuclear material retrieval..

yesterday Trump said the uranium doesn't matter because it's too deep underground.. today the Pentagon gave him a plan to dig it up..

what exactly happens when a president who wanted to walk away gets handed a plan to walk in..

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Donald Trump addressed the nation:

โ–ชGeopolitics and the Strait of Hormuz:

โžค Countries that use the Strait of Hormuz should take care of its security themselves. NATO is a "paper tiger"; the United States doesn't need it.

โžค Countries suffering from rising oil prices should buy fuel from the US - we have plenty of it. And they should have the courage to protect it themselves in the Strait of Hormuz.

โžค When the conflict ends, the Strait of Hormuz will open up naturally.

โžค I called Emmanuel Macron in France to discuss help on the Iran issue, but he refused. His wife treats him very badly, and he's still recovering from a punch in the jaw.

โ–ชMilitary plans and strategy:

โžค Iran could have reached Europe and the US very soon. The most important thing for us now is not diplomacy, but continuing military action against Iran.

โžค We are on the way to achieving our goals, and this will happen very soon. In the next 2-3 weeks, we will deal them a very strong blow and send them back to the Stone Age, where they belong.

โžค If the deal doesn't go through, we will hit each of their power stations very hard. They no longer have an air defense system, so they won't be able to do anything about it.

โ–ชNegotiations and politics:

โžค Negotiations are ongoing these days. Their new leadership is less radical, so we can say that the regime has already changed.

โžค I intend to correct the mistakes made by my predecessors regarding Iran. The nuclear deal with Iran was a flawed agreement that should never have been concluded.

โžค Iran will never possess nuclear weapons. My actions have significantly hindered Iran's ability to obtain a nuclear bomb.

โ–ชAssessment of the war and Iran's losses:

โžค We have been at war with Iran for just 32 days, and they have already been destroyed. The war in Iraq lasted 8 years.

โžค Iran's leaders are dead, its fleet and air force have been destroyed, the leadership of the IRGC has been eliminated, and military factories have been blown up - there's very little left of them.

โžค Iran's navy has been destroyed, and its air force is in ruins. Most of Iran's leaders have died.

โžค Iran's ability to launch missiles and drones is limited. American forces have greatly weakened the Iranian army.

โžค Iran has very few soldiers left. Never in the history of wars has an enemy suffered such obvious and crushing losses in just a few weeks.

โ–ชMissiles and military potential:

โžค Iran wanted to produce as many missiles as possible, and they succeeded, with the maximum possible range. They had types of weapons that no one believed in their existence.

โžค We just found this out. We destroyed them. We destroyed them all.

โžค Iran was close to acquiring missiles capable of reaching Europe and the US.

โ–ชEconomy and consequences:

โžค The short-term rise in fuel prices in the US is caused by Iran's actions, but the country's economy is ready for this, it's in good shape.

Chart from FT: Apple generates far more revenue per dollar of fixed assets than Meta, Alphabet, Microsoft, or Amazon, and is expected to stay there.

Apple does not need to win that race to profit from it. Apple remains exceptionally good at capturing value without owning every capital-intensive layer beneath it.

For each dollar of property and equipment last year, it generated more than $8 of revenue, versus roughly $2 at Amazon and a little over $1 at Meta.

That sounds like an AI story, but it is really a capital-intensity story.

The firms building frontier models and cloud infrastructure have to pour capital into chips, servers, networking, and power, which drags down revenue generated per dollar of fixed assets.

One valuable position in AI is the consumer interface.

If users meet AI through the phone, the operating system, the assistant, and the default settings, then Apple can broker demand while other firms absorb much of the training and infrastructure cost.

Apple may be in the best position not because it solved AI, but because it avoided owning the most expensive layer of the stack while still controlling the device where many people will actually use it.

There is real demand for those super expensive infrastructure for sure, cloud backlogs are rising, and unlike the late-1990s fibre boom, much of this capacity already has customers waiting.

But demand today does not settle the harder question of whether these assets will stay scarce, productive, and economically justified once newer chips, shifting model economics, and slower adoption start to bite.

The deeper lesson is that technological revolutions do not always reward the company that builds the most infrastructure. Sometimes they reward the company that owns access, keeps its balance sheet clean, and waits for everyone else to discover the cost of being early.
