🇺🇸🇮🇷 BREAKING: The U.S. military has fired over 850 Tomahawk cruise missiles in just four weeks of operations against Iran, a pace that has raised concerns within the Pentagon about rapidly depleting precision-weapon stockpiles and the ability to sustain long…
Navy ships and submarines have fired more than 850 Tomahawk missiles in the first four weeks of Operation Epic Fury. Replenishing inventory after this campaign will take time, and creates near-term risk for the United States.
DATA CENTERS IN SPACE COULD ENABLE GOLDEN DOME
James O’Brien, chief of U.S. Space Command’s global satellite communications and spectrum division, said on-orbit compute power is crucial to making Golden Dome work, and to fielding multi-orbit constellations for other missions, as well.
Speaking on a panel at the Satellite Conference in Washington, D.C., March 26, O’Brien said that while some missions have shifted to low Earth orbit to gain faster data transmission speeds, space-based processing could reduce latency for satellites further from Earth, in medium Earth orbit or geosynchronous orbit.
Asked whether space-based compute will be required for Golden Dome, O’Brien said: "I can’t see it without it."
"You’re talking about a mission set that specifically needs critical information movement," he said. "Anything that reduces that latency is critical to that mission set."

🇺🇸 ~4000 Tomahawks were in inventory, so this would be 21% of that.
Not a trivial amount, but not an insurmountable replacement requirement.
Tomahawk production capacity is 600/year, increasing to 1000/year. The Navy needs to place the orders. Their procurement has been anemic.

🇨🇳 US Treasuries held:
2013: $1.32 trillion
2024: $682 billion
Gone: $640 billion
🥇 #Gold reserves:
2013: 1,054 tonnes
2024: 2,309 tonnes
More than x2
The ratio says it all:
2013 10 cents of gold per dollar of Treasuries

The drone arms race is not just about surveillance.
It is about precision strike.
And one category is transforming the battlefield faster than almost any other:
Loitering munitions.
These systems combine:
• ISR
• target identification
• precision strike
All in a single platform.
Unlike traditional missiles, loitering munitions can:
• search for targets
• confirm identification
• abort or re-attack
• strike with precision
Modern examples include:
• Switchblade systems
• HERO family
• ALTIUS platforms
• Warmate drones
Why militaries are adopting them rapidly:
• lower cost than many guided munitions
• deployable by small units
• precision strike without heavy logistics
• scalable across modern battlefields
The result is a new class of weapon sitting between a drone and a missile.

The Army recently awarded a contract to $AVAV AeroVironment for the company’s new long-range, one-way attack drone called Red Dragon, the Pentagon announced Friday.
Modern warfare is being reshaped by small drones and loitering munitions.
Few companies sit closer to that transformation than #aerovironment .
$AVAV AeroVironment pioneered many of the tactical systems now used on battlefields worldwide:
• Switchblade loitering munitions
• Puma reconnaissance drones
• Raven battlefield UAVs
These platforms give frontline units capabilities that once required aircraft or artillery:
• real-time ISR
• organic precision strike
• rapid battlefield awareness
Demand has accelerated as militaries adapt to lessons from modern conflicts.
But the investment case is more complex than the narrative alone.
Key questions investors must consider:
• Can AeroVironment maintain technological leadership?
• How durable are defense procurement cycles?
• Will competition intensify as the drone market expands?

Are great powers built by armies… or by economies?
History suggests the answer is clear.
Military strength has almost always followed economic strength.
From Rome to Britain to the United States and now China, the pattern repeats:
• Rome built power through taxation, resources, and control of Mediterranean trade
• Britain used industrialization, finance, and naval dominance to project global power
• The United States combined industrial scale, technological leadership, and the dollar system
• China is rising on manufacturing depth and state-directed industrial capacity
Across 2,500 years of history, the lesson is consistent:
Armies fight wars.
But industry, resources, and finance determine who can sustain them.
The strongest military powers are usually those with:
• the deepest industrial base
• access to strategic resources
• resilient logistics and energy systems
• credible financial systems
• technological leadership
When military commitments grow faster than the economy supporting them, empires eventually weaken.
