The United States government just announced it is building a permanent base on the Moon.
NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman stood before Congress, aerospace executives, and global space agencies today and made it official.
He called it "humanity's first permanent surface outpost beyond Earth."
The plan unfolds in three phases, starting with robotic missions that land on the Moon every single month beginning in 2027.
Those robots carry nuclear reactors, communication systems, and construction rovers to prepare the surface before a single human arrives.
In the second phase, semi-habitable structures get built on the lunar surface and astronauts begin making regular visits.
The Moon stops being a destination and becomes a job site.
In the third phase, people do not just visit, they move in permanently and the Moon becomes the first place beyond Earth where humans live and work without coming home.
The price tag for all of this is $20 billion over the next seven years, and the missions already have names and launch windows.
A White House executive order has already directed NASA to establish the initial elements of a permanent Moon base by 2030.
The US Senate has separately ordered NASA to begin Moon base work as soon as practicable.
NASA is also developing a nuclear-powered spacecraft designed to reach Mars by 2028, meaning the Moon base is just the first stop.
China has its own lunar base ambitions and is watching every one of these announcements closely.
Fifty years ago, America left the Moon and never returned.
Today, the US government announced it is going back and this time it is building something that will still be standing a hundred years from now.

๐ฎ๐ท Donald Trump:
โ We are making huge progress in Iran.
โ We are negotiating with the right people, they want to make a deal.
โ US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, US Vice President Jay D. Vance and other people are negotiating with Iran.
โ Iran has agreed that they will never have nuclear weapons.
โ We have good allies from the Persian Gulf countries.
โ Practically everything that Iran had has disappeared. Can you name at least one thing that hasn't disappeared? If you read the newspapers, you'd think we're at a stalemate. We move freely around Tehran and can do whatever we want.
โ We really carried out a regime change - all the leaders are very different from those we started with.
โ This is a very successful military operation (not a war).
โ Iran has given us a big gift, which cost a huge amount of money, and it arrived today.
โ This is related to oil and gas. We are dealing with the right people.
โ I think we're going to finish this, but I can't tell you for sure. We've won this war.
โ Iran did something good yesterday related to the Strait of Hormuz.
๐บ๐ธ US Secretary of Defense:
โ We are negotiating with the help of bombs. This is not Iraq or Afghanistan.
โ We are fully in control of the situation.
Axios: The US is trying to arrange urgent negotiations with Iran through intermediaries, which may take place on Thursday, but there is no official agreement from Tehran yet.
According to a number of sources, Iran has already agreed to some points of the future agreement.

$KTOS: Kratos scores $447M Space Force award for missile tracking ground system
The Space Force now is planning a "base" constellation of about 30 Resilient MWT MEO satellites. The program is one of three separate missile warning/tracking efforts being managed by the service, all of which are supporting the Trump administrationโs ambitious Golden Dome initiative.
The award to Kratos is a follow-on to an original $55 million task order awarded to Parsons Corporation in April 2023 โto develop hardware and software solutionsโ and โoutfitโ the Space Operations Center to โenable an Epoch 1 initial launch capability,โ an SSC spokesperson told Breaking Defense in an email.

The recap of the last 24 hours ๐
โ Trump announces Iran peace deal
โ oil craters -11.5% below $87
โ Iran denies the talks ever happened
โ Ukraine strikes Russia's largest oil port
โ Massive fire erupts at a Texas oil refinery
โ Israel struck new Iranian energy facilities in Khorramshahr.

Is $92 the new ceiling or the new floor?

Most people still talk about โdrone stocksโ as if they all do the same thing.
They do NOT.
The Nasdaq listed drone landscape is splitting into very different categories:
โข $KTOS โ attritable combat aircraft / CCA
โข $AVAV โ loitering munitions, tactical ISR, and one of the strongest public counter-UAS stacks
โข $ONDS โ multi-domain autonomy with layered counter-drone architecture
โข $DPRO โ FPV and fieldable tactical drone systems Draganfly Inc.
โข $RCAT โ modular ISR drones with GPS-denied navigation capability
โข PARROTPA โ resilient micro-UAV ISR for contested environments
And on the counter-drone side, the stack is also fragmenting:
โข detection
โข electronic warfare
โข protocol manipulation
โข hard interception
โข anti-jam resilience
Key takeaway:
This is no longer a market of โdrone companies.โ
It is becoming a market of autonomy architectures, ISR systems, and counter-drone chains.
They do NOT.
