Are $RKLB $ASTS getting into the S&P 500 sooner than we think??? 👀🔎
This is crazy.
$SATS just became the FIRST pure play space stock added to the S&P 500.
$ASTS $RKLB $PL holders pay close attention.
Yesterday the committee looked past a $14B GAAP loss to add SpaceX proxy $SATS to the flagship index.
Alongside the other adds, critical AI infra growing at hyperspeed $LITE, $COHR, $VRT, $SATS stands out like a sore thumb.
It's a former dinosauric telco operating business (Sat TV + Mobile Carrier) that recorded a $14.5B net loss for 2025.
But beneath a convoluted financial structure mired in debt and subsidiary blur....
$SATS is really just a treasury company for scarce space economy assets that's trading significantly below NAV.
The most scarce of all being a 2.2% stake of SpaceX at a $400B valuation the company got when it sold its spectrum to Starlink.
That stake alone is worth $79.70 per share based on a $1.25T SpaceX/xAI valuation.
For context, $SATS closed at $106 on Friday.
The vast majority of this company's value is just the SpaceX equity it's holding on its balance sheet.
To add further proof that $SATS has fully embraced its treasury strategy, they cancelled their Q1 earnings call.
They're basically saying - we'll see y'all after SpaceX goes public so you can value us properly.
So why did the S&P 500 committee add Echostar?
Well they pass the market cap minimum of $22B.
But their financials are a mess like I pointed out and the S&P 500 rules explicitly require positive GAAP earnings over the trailing four quarters AND the most recent quarter.
$SATS posted a $14.5B net loss for 2025.
The only way this works is if the committee stripped out the network impairment and decommissioning charges as extraordinary items.
The committee had to work hard to see the real story.
- $22.65B in cash coming from the AT&T spectrum sale in H1 2026.
- ~$11B in SpaceX equity at $400B closer to $27.8B at today's $1.25T SpaceX/xAI valuation.
- $6B+ in remaining spectrum (paired AWS-3, 700 MHz, CBRS).
- 7.5M Boost Mobile subscribers generating real wireless revenue.
Then strip out the huge subsidiary debt that EchoStar can structurally walk away from, Hughes + DISH.
And you have a very financially healthy company.
The S&P committee doesn't add companies out of charity.
They added $SATS because it's one of the most undervalued and liquid space economy vehicles in public markets.
Every index fund tracking the S&P 500 now HAS to buy $SATS.
That's ~$8 trillion in passive assets that need to allocate.
Institutional ownership will explode.
Analyst coverage will follow.
Options liquidity deepens.
And I think the market gets more efficient on this name.
Now zoom out to the bigger picture.
The S&P 500 just endorsed, whether intentionally or not, a company whose primary value is a SpaceX stake.
That's a signal.
It tells the market that the committee thinks space economy exposure belongs in the most important equity benchmark on the planet.
$ASTS and $RKLB both trade above the $22.7B market cap minimum.
Both are pre-profit or barely profitable which historically would've kept them out.
But the $SATS inclusion just set a precedent.
The committee showed it's willing to exercise discretion and look through messy financials for companies with massive strategic positioning in space.
If they bent the rules for a satellite TV company holding SpaceX equity...
$ASTS and $RKLB may be closer to S&P 500 inclusion than anyone thinks.
And if that happens, the same passive flow tsunami hits them too.
Combine this with the idea that $ASTS and $RKLB are extraordinarily undervalued if SpaceX is worth nearly $2T.
The S&P 500 just opened the door for space.

$NVDA just poured $4 billion into a tech most people have never heard of 🔥
But in the next 2 years, every major AI data center will depend on it and Nvidia has locked in prime access.
What’s the move?
Nvidia is investing $2 billion each in Coherent and Lumentum, two key players in photonics, using light (lasers + fiber optics) to move data instead of old-school copper cables.
The big problem being fixed:
Today’s copper connections can’t handle the insane speeds and scale of modern
AI clusters:
• Massive heat buildup
• Sky-high power use
• Signal loss over longer distances
Jensen Huang has said copper only works for about 1-2 meters, beyond that, you need optics.
Photonics delivers:
• Far lower power consumption
• Much higher reliability
• Bandwidths exceeding 100 Tb/s
Nvidia is repeating its classic strategy:
invest early, secure supply, create dependency.
Just like with HBM memory or cloud partners (e.g., CoreWeave), they’re now controlling a future bottleneck in AI infrastructure.
Anyone building massive AI factories will need this tech and thanks to these deals, Nvidia’s position just got even stronger.

Here's why Iraq sits at the center of this sequence. Iran's rial disappears March 21. New currency code. New exchange architecture. The financial corridor between Tehran and Baghdad — through which sanctioned dollars have flowed for years — gets structurally…
The CLARITY Act is stalled because banks are blocking it — they're protecting the correspondent banking system that currently controls every cross-border dollar transaction. That's not a coincidence. That's the toll booth they're defending.
What's happening in the Middle East right now is dismantling the same architecture from the other direction. Kuwait just voided its dollar-denominated oil contracts via Force Majeure. Iran redenominates in 14 days. Iraq is building settlement infrastructure outside the US-controlled banking corridor. The dollar contracts that gave Washington veto power over Gulf energy are being legally exited one by one.
You can't build a new settlement layer on top of a system that's still running. The old contracts have to be voided first. The regimes operating the shadow financial networks have to be removed first. Then the legal framework for what replaces it — the CLARITY Act — becomes the rulebook for the new system.
Ripple has spent a decade building cross-border settlement infrastructure at institutional scale. Survived a four-year SEC war. ODL is literally designed to move value across borders without a correspondent bank in the middle. The moment legal clarity lands, the infrastructure is already there.
IMO you're not waiting for a crypto bill. You're waiting for the new financial system to finish clearing the old one out. Iran and Israel are part of that clearing operation whether you care about them or not.
The CLARITY Act is the last piece. Not the first.

U.S. officials have discussed the possibility of seizing Kharg Island, Iran’s main oil export hub. The terminal handles over 90% of Iran’s crude exports, making it a critical economic lifeline. Any move targeting the island could severely impact Iran’s oil revenue.

🇺🇸🇮🇷 BREAKING: US Eyes Kharg Island — Iran’s Oil Lifeline Could Be Crippled
US officials are reportedly considering plans to seize Kharg Island, Iran’s primary oil export hub in the Persian Gulf, handling over 90 % of the country’s crude oil exports through its deep-water terminals, storage tanks, and undersea pipelines.
The island sits 25 km off Iran’s mainland and covers roughly 20 km², a compact but critical choke point for Tehran’s energy lifeline. Analysts warn that losing Kharg would be an economic and strategic nightmare for Iran:
◽Oil revenue collapse: The island funnels nearly all of Iran’s crude exports, a seizure would slash government income and cripple military funding.
◽Global energy shock: A halt in Iranian oil would tighten global supply and spike prices overnight.
◽ Regional escalation: Any attack or occupation could trigger fierce resistance and ignite wider Middle East conflict.
Control of 20 km² in the Gulf could turn into a geopolitical earthquake, proving how a small island can carry massive consequences for Iran and the world.
