Anduril Founder #PalmerLuckey on autonomous weapons: “It’s a lot scarier to imagine a weapons system that DOESN’T have any level of intelligence.” “There’s no moral high ground in land mines that can’t tell the difference between a school bus of children…

Anduril’s #PalmerLuckey on AI and defense: It’s not up to unelected Silicon Valley executives to decide US policy.

“Don’t try to control policy by refusing to give the government the best tools.”

“You’ll see a lot of companies saying, ‘Here’s where we draw the line. This is what policy should be. This is what we’re going to allow the government to do and not do.’”

“That’s not the place of Silicon Valley companies. They shouldn’t be telling what their policy is.”

“Build the technology, advocate for policy.”

“The US government and military makes better decisions when they have better information.”

“It’s not up to us.”

Peter Thiel on how to never lose your job to AI in 2024:

“It seems to be that AI is quite good at woke stuff.”

“If you want to be a successful actor, you should be a little racist, or a little sexist, or just really funny— and you won’t have any risk of the AI replacing you.”

The CEO of a $380 billion company just went on camera and said the world is not ready for what his own technology is about to do.

Not a competitor warning you and not a regulator.

The man who BUILT it

This is Dario Amodei, CEO of Anthropic, company behind Claude.

He just compared AI to a tsunami on the horizon.

His exact words: "It's so close, we can see it. And yet people are coming up with explanations, oh, it's not actually a tsunami. It's just a trick of the light."

He is not talking about some distant future.

In January, he published a 38 page essay warning that superhuman AI could arrive by 2027.

He called it potentially the single most serious national threat in a century.

That is 18 months from now.

Here is what makes this different from every other AI warning.

This is not a politician looking for votes and not an academic looking for grants.

This is the man whose company just erased $2 trillion from software stocks with three blog posts.

He is telling you his own product terrifies him.

When Anderson Cooper asked him on 60 Minutes, "Who elected you and Sam Altman to make these decisions?"

Amodei's answer: "No one. Honestly, no one."

A handful of people in San Francisco are building something that will reshape every industry on earth.
And nobody voted for it.

In the video, he says the technical work on controlling AI has gone "a little better" than expected.

But societal awareness has gone "a little worse."

Translation: The engineers are somewhat keeping up.

Governments, institutions, and the public are not even close.

He told Nikhil Kamath that coding, math, and scientific research are already being handled by AI systems.

But it does not stop there.

End to end automation of entire software engineering workflows not just writing code, but designing, testing, deploying "will happen soon."

Think about what soon means from this man.

In 2024, he wrote "Machines of Loving Grace", an optimistic essay about AI curing diseases and extending lifespans.

A year later, in January 2026, he published "The Adolescence of Technology" a 38-page warning that humanity might not survive its own creation.

The tone shift was not subtle.

He laid out the risks in order.

In the short term, bias and misinformation and already happening.

In the medium term, AI generates harmful information using advanced scientific knowledge.

In the long term, AI removes human agency entirely.

Becomes too autonomous and locks humans out of systems.

This is the product roadmap of the man building it.

And here is the part that should keep you up at night.

He said he is deeply uncomfortable with the concentration of power happening in AI.

It happened almost overnight, almost by accident.

Building the most powerful technology in human history.

The stock market is just the first domino.

Software was the canary in the coal mine.

Legal, finance, cybersecurity, consulting, engineering.

Every industry built on cognitive labor is in the blast radius.

The NEXT $AXTI ?🔥

$IQE is an underrated leader in the compound semiconductor space, with massive upside potential similar to what AXT has already delivered - and it could surge dramatically in the coming months.

Both companies are riding the explosive wave of demand for advanced epitaxial wafers driven by AI data centers, high-speed photonics, 5G/6G infrastructure, and defense applications. AXT has seen its stock rocket from lows around $1 to over $40 in recent periods, fueled by surging indium phosphide orders for AI infrastructure and capacity expansions to meet that demand.

IQE is positioned in a strikingly comparable spot: strong order books heading into 2026, particularly in photonics for data centers and AI, alongside sustained momentum in wireless and defense markets.

Recent trading updates highlight improved visibility, higher capacity utilization, and expectations for meaningful revenue growth and positive EBITDA leverage.

After years of being deeply discounted, down massively from prior highs, IQE has already shown explosive momentum in early 2026, with shares more than doubling in recent weeks amid renewed speculation around strategic options and potential takeover interest.

As a classic recovery play in a booming sector, IQE offers the same kind of asymmetric opportunity that propelled AXT: undervalued fundamentals meeting explosive end-market tailwinds. With ongoing strategic reviews attracting serious attention and the semiconductor supercycle in full swing, this could be the next big breakout story for investors hunting high-conviction growth in advanced materials 📈

📰 Top Headlines

Market Drivers — Forex News Update

📋 📌 Eurozone inflation mix — German headline CPI eased to 1.9% YoY in Feb while French price growth rebounded. This keeps headline euro-area prints mixed: cooling in Germany reduces near-term ECB rate-tilt risk, but France’s rebound preserves upside inflation uncertainty. Result: mild downward pressure on EUR but market reaction will track upcoming pan‑EU CPI and ECB speak.

✅ 🔖 US PPI surprise — US Producer Prices rose more than expected, with wholesale pressures accelerating in Jan. Strong PPI increases imply persistent domestic price pressures that can feed into consumer inflation and support Fed tightening expectations. Bullish for USD, higher yields and potential headwind to risk assets.

📌 🔖 Implications for EUR/USD — Diverging signals: softer German CPI argues EUR downside, but stronger US PPI supports USD. Expect EUR/USD to trade with caution around macro prints; momentum likely USD‑positive if next US CPI/PPI continue firm and no fresh dovish ECB guidance appears.

📋 ✅ Fixed income / yields — US PPI upside likely lifted Treasury yields; lower German inflation can ease Bunds somewhat. That steepens US/Germany yield differentials — a fundamental positive for USD vs EUR and some EM currencies. Watch intra-day bund auction and UST curve moves.

📌 🔖 FX volatility drivers — Short-term drivers: US PPI flow, upcoming US CPI, ECB member comments, and risk sentiment. Traders will price in Fed persistence if PPI → CPI linkage strengthens. Options-implied vol likely to pick up around next data and Fed speakers.

📋 ✅ Trading strategy notes — For scalpers: fade large intraday EUR rallies on stronger USD prints. For carry/positions: keep duration light in EUR longs until clearer ECB guidance. Risk-on correlations (EUR/JPY, AUD pairs) may weaken if USD strength persists.

📌 🔖 Key levels to watch — EUR/USD support: near recent lows and psychological 1.06/1.05 area; resistance: 1.08–1.09. DXY: watch 104.5 and 105.5. Bunds and UST 10y yields pivot around recent auction yields.

📋 ✅ Bottom line — Mixed eurozone CPI data vs stronger US PPI favors USD strength in the near term, but euro moves hinge on broader euro-area CPI and ECB remarks. Manage risk around major data and yield shifts.

Palantir’s Shon Manasco: America’s adversaries don’t care about having a human in the loop— they’re “more than willing to let an AI agent talk to an AI agent to actually deliver a kinetic strike.”

“That's not what we do with our software.”

“We think there has to be a human in the loop.”

“The adversary that we are up against will actually try to let those agents just deliver the kinetic action themselves.”

“So what we have to figure out is— how can we make sure that our decision cycles are so quick to compete with that reality?”
