A Saudi sheikh and his wife could lose their £8.3m London home after failing to prove that, under Islamic custom, the woman owns the property.
Makiyah al-Jaber and her once-wealthy husband, Sheikh Mohamed bin Issa al-Jaber, a Saudi-born businessman, have told a High Court judge that, according to Muslim rules, husbands must provide a house for their wives and that the property is then legally owned by the woman.
The property at the centre of the dispute is in Hampstead Garden Suburb, north London
