উত্তর:- 1895 সালে জার্মান বিজ্ঞানী ডব্লিউ. রন্টজেন এক্স -রশ্মি আবিষ্কারক করেন ।

প্রশ্ন:- তেজস্ক্রিয় পদার্থ থেকে কী কী রশ্মি নির্গত হয় ? এদের নাম কী ?
উত্তর:- তেজস্ক্রিয় পদার্থের পরমাণুর কেন্দ্রক থেকে তিন প্রকার রশ্মি নির্গত হয় । এদের নাম হল —আলফা (α) রশ্মি, বিটা (ß) রশ্মি এবং গামা (γ) রশ্মি ।

প্রশ্ন:- কী কী পদ্ধতিতে ধাতু থেকে ইলেকট্রন নিঃসরণ করা হয় ?
উত্তর:- ধাতব পৃষ্ঠ থেকে ইলেকট্রন নিঃসরণের পদ্ধতিগুলি হল —
