Heartbreaking I She didn't live to see her first birthday... Baby Zainab Abu Hulaib succumbed to a hunger that showed no mercy to her fragile infancy, as the siege slowly drained her tiny body.
In her mother's arms, Zainab slipped away in silence - yet another witness to the crime of starvation claiming the children of Gaza.

‘Handala’ was illegally boarded by Israel military in international waters, around 40 nautical miles off the coast of Gaza.

Before interception the 21 crew made this statement: if attacked they will join the global hunger strike for Gaza.

Update on current status of the 21 civilians on board the 'Handala', which was illegally intercepted and boarded by Israeli forces at 23:43 EEST, 26 July 2025.
The Freedom Flotilla Coalition confirms that upon arrival in Israeli custody, U.S. human rights defender Christian Smalls was physically assaulted by seven uniformed individuals. They choked him and kicked him in the legs, leaving visible signs of violence on his neck and back.

When his lawyer met with him, Christian was surrounded by six members of Israel’s special police unit. This level of force was not used against other abducted activists.

The Freedom Flotilla Coalition condemns this violence against Chris and demands accountability for the assault and discriminatory treatment he faced.
