The government of Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh officially submitted its resignation today after Shtayyeh led the government for five years.

In June 2023, Shtayyeh insulted a man who demanded that Shtayyeh deploy the 70,000 armed men of the PA Security Forces to protect villages from settler attacks, after his wife and house were attacked.
