The United States Secretary of State has made yet another approval of a "possible" sale of Munitions and Equipment to Israel at an estimated cost of $2.04 billion, upon the request of Israel.

The Government of Israel had requested to buy 35,529 "MK-84 (BLU-117)" Bombs, 5000+ "MK-83 (BLU-110)" Bombs and and 4,000 "I2000" Penetrator warheads.

Deliveries are estimated to begin in 2026.

The United States is committed to the security of Israel, and it is vital to U.S. national interests to assist Israel to develop and maintain a strong and ready self-defense capability. This proposed sale is consistent with those objectives.

The proposed sale will improve Israel's capability to meet current and future threats, strengthen its homeland defense, and serve as a deterrent to regional threats. Israel will have no difficulty absorbing this equipment into its armed forces.

The proposed sale of this equipment and support will not alter the basic military balance in the region.
