Under the ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel, which came into effect on January 19, Israel must open the Rafah crossing with Egypt seven days after the start of the first stage to allow the entry of humanitarian aid trucks into Gaza.
The crossing will allow patients and injured Gazans to exit for treatment abroad along with their companions and a number of “humanitarian cases,” totaling around 300 people per day.
