The narrative “Egyptian regime warned Israel about October 7” first emerged from AP on October 9, 2023, two days after October 7, attributed to an anonymous Egyptian intelligence official by an Israeli “journalist” based in Tel Aviv.
Check the same story on BBC, other Western media, and Arab regimes media, you will find they all cite the Israeli Tia Goldenberg (AP).
What did the Egyptian regime mean by “something big”?
Well, I’m not sure how familiar you are with Egyptian drama, but I’m certain the Egyptians told the Israelis that “something BIG” was happening in Gaza 25 days before October 7th, between September 12 and October 7.
I would certainly say it was on September 12, 2023.
First, what is “The Joint Operations Room of the Palestinian Resistance Factions in Gaza”?
There is something called: The Joint Operations Room of the Palestinian Resistance Factions in Gaza.
This room is made up of the following:
1.Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades
2.Al-Quds Brigades
3.Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades – Nidal al-Amoudi Brigade
4.Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades
5.Al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades
6.The National Resistance Brigades
7.Al-Ansar Brigades
8.Al-Mujahideen Brigades
9.Abd al-Qader al-Husseini Brigades
10.Jihad Jibril Martyrs Brigades

On Sunday, 10-09-2023 the room issued the following statement:
The Joint Operations Room of the Palestinian Resistance Factions:
“As part of maintaining a high level of readiness, the leadership of the Joint Operations Room of the Palestinian Resistance Factions conducted an exploratory and inspection tour of the military resistance sites and monitoring points adjacent to the barrier fence between the Gaza Strip and our lands occupied in 1948.
During the tour, the areas of contact with the enemy were surveyed, the progress of work at the resistance sites was reviewed, and the readiness of the Mujahideen was confirmed, along with the effectiveness of the procedures being followed. This is especially important as these sites represent advanced resistance points within the secured area.
The leadership of the Joint Operations Room praised the vigilance and dedication of the fighters and called on them to raise their readiness levels, confirming that this tour is part of enhancing the preparedness and readiness of the resistance factions. It will culminate in the “Rukn al-Shadid 4” Drill, which will be carried out by the Joint Operations Room next Tuesday, marking the anniversary of the enemy’s withdrawal from the Gaza Strip.”
What’s “Rukn al-Shadid” Drill ?

The Israeli army withdrew from Gaza after suffering losses upon losses from the resistance on September 12, 2005.
Between September 12, 2005, and Sunday, September 10, 2023, the room conducted three military drills.
Each one was bigger than the previous one for a simple reason: they enhanced their military manufacturing, and the number of fighters grew. Everyone saw the drill, as it was open for everyone in Gaza to see. I’m pretty sure the Egyptian soldiers in the towers by the Philadelphi corridor saw it too, along with the Israeli army Gaza division and settlers from the settlements surrounding Gaza.

“When the leadership decided to carry out this operation, they kept the matter secret from their soldiers and informed them only hours before its launch. There were about 1,400 Mujahideen in this mobilization. They were supposed to cross the separation fence, and they were given the choice to either go ahead or be excused if they had a valid reason. The leadership surprised them with this decision. They were urgently called, and each person had his own concerns in this world. These 1,400 men were given the choice, and not a single one of them backed out!”
Wait, didn’t the Quds Brigades also participate in the October 7th operation?
Only 1,400 fighters from Al-Qassam Brigades initially carried out the operation. For hours, no one knew what was going on, until people saw them entering and units of Al-Qassam returning, while others took their place.
This prompted other factions to join, and even regular Palestinians, not just militants, entered the settlements!
Al-Qassam announced the operation by releasing a recorded speech from their chief of staff, Mohammed Deif, at 8:47 (Jerusalem time), announcing the operation.
This was hours AFTER the operation had already started!
And the Quds Brigades released the following statement at 9:09:
“We are part of this battle, and our fighters are shoulder to shoulder with their brothers in Al-Qassam Brigades until victory, Insha’Allah.”
They joined them afterwards!

Anyway, what exactly did the Egyptian regime’s “intelligence” tell the Israelis, according to the Israeli “journalist” in AP?
And why?
Everyone saw the drill, as it was open for everyone in Gaza to see. I’m pretty sure the Egyptian soldiers in the towers by the Philadelphi corridor saw it too, along with the Israeli occupation army Gaza division and settlers from the settlements surrounding Gaza.
Only 1,400 fighters from Al-Qassam Brigades initially carried out the operation. For hours, no one knew what was going on, until people saw them entering and units of Al-Qassam returning, while others took their place.
On September 12, 2023, 25 days before October 7th, the Egyptians were terrified after witnessing the “Rukn al-Shadid 4” drill. They immediately went to the Israelis:
“Israeli officials were focused on the West Bank and played down the threat from Gaza.”
What does that mean?
The Egyptian regime informed the Israelis that they saw the drill and that it might be an indicator of something big about to happen. They blamed the Israelis for not focusing on Gaza as much as they were on the West Bank. (Read the screenshot)
But why would the Egyptian coup regime be worried about Gaza?
The coup regime didn’t want any war to break out in Gaza for a simple reason:
It’s part of the siege on Gaza, and it knows that any humanitarian disaster in Gaza would threaten its future. It would also put immense pressure on it from its own people and its Western backers, who supported the coup against Morsi so that this regime could follow orders and do as told. If it follows those orders, it risks turning its people against it.
Obviously, the Israelis played it down and calmed down the Egyptian coup regime, assuring them that everything was under control. They claimed to have state-of-the-art espionage technology and emphasized that this was the fourth drill, not the first one. They also played the invincible army card.
Which was all a logical move from the Israelis at the time.
But doesn’t the Egyptian “intelligence” know what’s going on in Gaza?!!
The Egyptian coup regime is a failure on all fronts, including intelligence.
They have no clue what’s going on in Gaza, except what the Majd (Hamas intelligence) wants them to know.

In one heartbreaking incident in 2020, three brothers from Gaza borrowed moneh and bought a small boat so they could fish, eat, and sell the fish to take care of their younger siblings and their sick father. But as soon as they went to the Rafah shores, two of the brothers were shot dead and the third was taken captive by the Egyptian army!
If the Egyptian intelligence truly knew what’s going on in Gaza, their army wouldn’t have shot these brothers, whose story is known to everyone in Gaza!
And the final evidence that proves, without a shadow of a doubt, that the Egyptian “intelligence” literally has no clue what’s going on is in the next and final post.
General Mohamed Rashad, the head of Egyptian General Intelligence and the head of the Israeli Affairs in the Egyptian Intelligence.
Was contacted by a channel affiliated with the coup regime in Egypt on October 1, 2024, to ask his opinion about the Iranian “True Promise 2” retaliation.
This was literally about half an hour after the attack, and he had no clue whatsoever that Iran had attacked Israel, he found out from the TV presenter!
