Latest casualty figures from Israeli terror attacks on Lebanon

These are the latest casualty figures issued by the Lebanese Health Ministry:

At least 1,952 people have been killed since Israel escalated its attacks on Lebanon in mid-September.
At least 2,546 people in Lebanon have been killed, including at least 140 children and 270 women, and 11,862 wounded since the start of Israeli-Hezbollah cross-border attacks in October last year.
The ministry’s figures do not distinguish between civilians and combatants.

As we reported earlier, the UNDP in an assessment says the poverty rate across the Palestinian territory will almost double this year to 74.3 percent.

The UNDP research also said the Human Development Index (HDI) for Gaza, a measure of “average achievement in key dimensions of human development”, is projected to drop to a level estimated for 1955, “erasing over 69 years of progress”.

Meanwhile, in the occupied West Bank, the HDI was expected to drop to a level “reflecting a loss of 16 years” and was likely to worsen. #GhostsofPs
