Israel’s raids on Jenin only fuel Palestinian resistance

Israel has intensified raids in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem since it launched its war on Gaza on October 7.

At least 516 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli raids and shootings in the occupied West Bank in the past eight months, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

What’s the situation at Gaza’s hospitals?

Only 14 out of Gaza’s 36 hospitals are currently partially functional, according to the WHO.

All three hospitals in the southern city of Rafah are currently out of service. They are Al-Helal Al-Emarati Hospital, the Kuwait Hospital and the Najjar Hospital.

The two hospitals in north Gaza – al-Awda and Kamal Adwan – are also inaccessible.

This means about half a million people in Rafah and in north Gaza have no “functional accessible hospitals”, the global health agency said.

The closure of Rafah crossing has also halted medical evacuation of patients and severely restricted the entry of fuel and medical supplies, impacting the functionality of hospitals, it added.
