BREAKING: The area where the Israeli occupation army ordered Palestinians to evacuate from in Rafah has nearly 250,000 people, including local residents and already displaced people alike.

UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA):

"A massive-scale Israeli attack on Rafah means more civilian suffering and deaths, with devastating consequences for 1.4 million people."

— Head of media affairs in the border crossing claims that the crossing is "not closed", but the movement of aid and trucks have stopped since yesterday noon. He added that there are travelers leaving to the Egyptian side now.

Rafah: Gaza’s southern city packed with 1.5 million people

Rafah, which had a population of about 270,000 before the war in Gaza started on October 7, now hosts the majority of Gaza’s 2.3 million pre-war population.

The Doctors Without Borders estimates that more than 1.5 million people are currently trapped in Rafah, after fleeing from the northern and central areas of the enclave amid Israel’s ground operation and air attacks.

More than 600,000 children are sheltering in tents in Rafah right now as they are getting intensely bombed - nowhere else left to go.

1- There are about 1.7 people currently in #Rafah, including about 1.3 displaced persons.

4- The evacuation is being carried out under brutal attacks on homes and people that led so far to 26 deaths and over 50 injured.
