At least 13,230 children killed in Gaza

Gaza’s government media office says 13,230 children have been killed in the besieged coastal enclave, including seven who died of starvation.

The death toll also includes 8,860 women, 340 medical staff, 132 journalists, and 47 civil defence staff. While 30,139 bodies have been registered at hospitals, the official death toll does not include the about 7,000 reported missing, the office said in its latest update.

Ahmad Hijazzi, a Palestinian child, died at Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza due to malnutrition and poisoning. He consumed animal feed grains instead of flour, highlighting the severe starvation triggered by the Israeli blockade preventing food convoys from reaching northern Gaza.

The Euro-Med Monitor teams have documented Israeli bulldozers running over one of the Palestinian prisoners who was arrested in the Zeitoun neighborhood, east of Gaza today.

Israeli forces perpetrated a massacre against thousands of starving Palestinians who had spent the night waiting for a bag of flour to feed their families. Shockingly, over 112 people were shot and killed, with close to a thousand injured by Israeli tanks and forces firing indiscriminately at them as they approached the aid trucks in al-Rashid street, northern Gaza.

Government Media Office in Gaza: "The occupation engages in deception and disseminates false news about the massacre on Rashid Street. All fatalities in this massacre were directly caused by the bullets owned and fired by the Israeli occupation forces along with internationally prohibited shells."

Regarding today's Israeli massacre of Palestinians in northern Gaza, Colombian President Gustavo Petro states: "Netanyahu's slaughter of more than 100 Palestinians seeking food is genocide, evoking memories of the Holocaust."

Video footage from this morning depicts Israeli tanks firing upon starving residents as they await aid convoys in northern Gaza. This onslaught resulted in numerous fatalities among the crowds gathered for food.

The bodies of 22 Palestinians have been recovered from different areas in the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis since dawn today.
