The international impotence and the American cover for the starvation crime used by the occupation as a weapon to achieve political objectives is a stain of disgrace on the forehead of humanity, one that history will not erase. Al-Quds is the Arabic name for the city of Jerusalem. The word "Quds" comes from the Arabic root word "q-d-s", which means holy or sacred. In Islamic tradition, Jerusalem is considered a holy city, as it is the site of several important religious events and is home to important Islamic sites such as the Dome of the Rock and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Arabs call Jerusalem Al-Quds instead of Yerushalayim or Jerusalem because Arabic is the primary language spoken by the majority of Arabs, and Al-Quds is the Arabic name for the city. Additionally, the use of Al-Quds emphasizes the city's religious significance to Muslims, as well as its importance to the Arab world.
