HAMAS OFFICIAL STATEMENT
ON CEASEFIRE DEAL:
'Netanyahu’s primary goal of continuing the war is for purely personal and electoral interests and to protect himself.
Whoever aborts all attempts by mediators to make progress in the negotiations is Netanyahu and his extremist government, even the most extremist in the history of the entity.
The keys to the negotiations for us are three basic issues: a sustainable ceasefire, ending any military presence of the occupation in the Gaza Strip, including all the needs of our people with reconstruction, and ending the siege.
Netanyahu rejects the basic keys to the success of the negotiations and refuses to recognize the rights of the Palestinian people
We are determined that our people will live freely in their land without the presence of this occupation
The American administration is up to its ears involved in supporting the crimes of the occupation, providing cover and weapons to kill Palestinians, and practicing collective punishment.
We did not receive any official information about what happened in Paris
The document issued by Netanyahu contains only nos, all of which are a rejection of the human and political rights of the Palestinian people.
We have not received any Arab vision to discuss the internal Palestinian situation, and we are keen to arrange the Palestinian house on sound and solid foundations.
We presented a comprehensive vision that includes arranging the Palestinian house on the rules of partnership, democracy, and everyone’s participation in bearing responsibility
We should not talk about the Gaza Strip as if it were an isolated or separate part of the Palestinian homeland
We are not in a state of rift with Fatah, and our doors are open for everyone to talk about what is in the interest of the Palestinian people.
We have permanent and continuous communication between us and the resistance factions, and the future of the day after the war is part of the Palestinian will.
The movement’s leadership delegation discussed in Egypt the efforts made to stop the aggression against our people and ways to strengthen and intensify relief and bring in aid, especially in the northern Gaza Strip.
We are confident that the Palestinian people will achieve their goals and that the occupation cannot bend the Palestinian will.'

Journalist associations mark international day for Palestinian journalists
Journalist unions and associations from more than 100 countries are marking today, Monday, February 26, as the International Day for Palestinian Journalists.
The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) and the Federation of Arab Journalists (FAJ) say they are holding the day in support of colleagues in Palestine.
The associations described the killing of 100 journalists in the four months since the war began as a “terrible and unjustified tragedy”.
“Palestinian journalists are the eyes of the world in Gaza, and without them, the humanitarian crisis would go unseen,” the Australian journalists union MEAA said in a post on social media.

In Washington, a US soldier set himself on fire in front of the Israeli Embassy, chanting "Free Palestine".
‘“I will no longer be complicit in genocide. I’m about to engage in an extreme act of protest but, compared to what people have been experiencing in Palestine at the hands of their colonizers, it’s not extreme at all. This is what our ruling class has decided will be normal.”
He was hospitalized after saying that self-immolation was a terrible thing but not as terrible as what is happening in Gaza.
