The U.S. State Department has labeled the Gaza Freedom Flotilla as [pro-Hamas] and threatened U.S. allies who provide it with any assistance.

Israeli regime released most activists from the Sumud Flotilla in coordination with the Greek authorities, after which they were freed. However, two activists, Saif Abu Keshek and Thiago Ávila, members of the flotilla steering committee, were abducted.

Saif Abu Keshek is a Palestinian Spanish activist. Israel claims he is affiliated with a terrorist organization, without providing evidence for these allegations. Thiago Ávila is a prominent Brazilian activist who has participated in previous aid flotilla attempts.

The Israeli occupation navy intercepted the Sumud Flotilla in international waters near the Greek island of Crete, hundreds of miles from Gaza. Israeli forces boarded the vessels, took control of them, and detained the activists.

“Either they will kill us, or we will enter Gaza.”

Global Sumud Flotilla activist Şuayb Ordu says preparations are underway for a new flotilla, with ships being readied in Turkey and across Europe to gather and sail toward Gaza.

“This is nothing compared to what Palestinians are enduring.”

Global Sumud flotilla activist Carly Womberg says they were detained by Israel while delivering humanitarian aid, reporting that several activists were beaten and denied access to medication.

Global Sumud Flotilla activist Şuayb Ordu recounts his experience after being detained for more than 40 hours by Israeli authorities, during which he says he and others were subjected to multiple assaults following the interception of the flotilla.

"It's true we were released, but there are tens of thousands of prisoners still in Israeli jails. Gaza remains under blockade. We don't have time to stop, we must keep moving forward."

Activist Guido Reichstadter has shut down the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge in Washington, DC, for the second time in four years, scaling the arches on Friday afternoon to protest the US-led aggression on Iran and the development of artificial intelligence.

In an interview with Al Jazeera, the 45-year-old Florida native called for "mass nonviolent direct action" to collapse the current administration’s war efforts. Reichstadter, who previously occupied the same bridge for 28 hours in 2022 to protest the overturning of Roe v. Wade, warned that the combination of regional war and unregulated "machine superintelligence" poses an "imminent danger" of human extinction.

Reichstadter released a statement on X which read in part: "I'm calling on the people of the United States to bring an immediate end to the Trump regime's illegal war on Iran and the removal of the regime from power through mass nonviolent direct action and non-cooperation."
